Queens had many many hip hop artist from again LL Cool J, The Lost Boyz, 50 Cent, Run DMC, Capone N Noreaga, Craig G, Nas, Mobb Deep, Roxanne Shante, Tribe Called Quest, Pharoahe Monch, and I believe Big Daddy Kane was born in Brooklyn, and resided in Queens, not too sure, anyway just to name a few

Used to catch this, Biz, and all sorts of other greats on 88.1fm on Saturday afternoons.

Love the old school so much more.

  • @xTyLeRB Well yea its its ones opinion, but u can make a strong case for mine and yours. The thing that matters is our lists does not include any shitty rappers, and has perspective.

  • @66weedsmoker Nice troll.

  • 66weedsmoker, check your stash, somebody slipped you some PSP in your weed! KRS is way before his time, just because you cant understand/relate, dont bash it! And to think weed is supposed to ELEVATE the intellect?!? You,re the reason they want to ban it. HA HA HA HA SUCKAAAA!!!!

  • Hahah look at D-Nice

  • REAL top hip hop artists of all time

    1) KRS-One

    2) OneBeLo

    3) Guru

    4) Rakim

    5) Kool G Rap

  • @lakerskobefarmar hell naa

  • Clasik hh

  • Oh Yes

  • I gotta believe that the comment below about the beat and lyrics is someone trolling . This was a revolutionary stage in Hip Hop when most MC's were talking about gold chains etc. BDP broke the mould and brought rap into the forefront of white society. Krs1 and other artists ie Rakim so that Eminem entered a scene already established. Its pointless saying what era was Golden as both past and present has some talent its the record industries who have in many cases ruined the scene. .

  • it's boogie down productions- the bridge is over, but it isint produced by scott la rock, ced gee produced the song

  • @TrojanThug

    Ayo rookie...

so you sayin that an EMOtional mc is better then the history (Krs One) because of his sucka punchlines and lil tricks...

eminem is a good mc, but is way overated because of his sales (thanks my ass he's white, not only good) ad cause he's dre under dog

but where's the creativity? yeah he got skills but what did he bring to Hip Hop???

if you don't know your history you don't know anything

  • @TheThruth27 Opened the doors for white MCs (along with the Beastie Boys). Created widely considered one of the best Hip-Hop songs ever, Stan. Add to the fact that he really brought accents/split personalities to the rap forefront as a viable style, and brought in a lot of Caucasian listeners.

Not liking him is one thing, but to say he didn't bring anything to Hip-Hop is kind of ignorant.

  • @Fredfiness 3rd Bass, Vanilla Ice, Markie Mark, ..Eminem didn't jump on the scene until around late to mid 98. Vanilla Ice and Markie Mark werent as good as Em but they def sold alot of units. 3rd Bass were on Def Jam along with the Beastie's and had great production and were dope. Em really didn't bring nothing to hip-hop. 2Pac had 2 rap monkiers and rap personalitites so did a slew of other rappers. I'll tell slim to his face he anit nothin compared to KRS-1 and Boogie Down Productions.

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 While Vanilla Ice, 3rd Bass, and Markie Mark moved units they didn't really bring the white MC to the forefront. People didn't take white MCs seriously until Eminem and the Beastie Boys came along.

2Pac didn't have two monikers, he just went from conscious to thug in his lyrics (ie: Lyrics changed, personality remained stagnate). Eminem brought split personalities/accents to the FOREFRONT (that was the keyword) with the Marshal Mathers/Slim Shady act.

  • @Fredfiness Beastie Boys came along wayyyyyyy before That guy you called Eminem idno who that is but i googled him and yea Beastie boys came before him.

  • @JuGgaScruBBa They did. Eminem however was really the first mainstream white guy to be accepted as from the hood.

  • @Fredfiness Until Eminem & The Beasties.. Thats TWO different eras. The 80's & 90's.. If rappers & fans acknowledged The Beasties in the 80's then they brought the white MC to the forefront before Eminem. 2Pac did have two monkiers so did a slew of others rappers. For example KRS 1- The Teacher/Blastmaster etc. The two personality thing really isnt Eminem. He raps crazy as slim shady & Marshal Mathers. From the slim shady LP To The Marshall Mathers LP...A 2Pac move.

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 The Beastie Boys were the first to bring White MCs to the forefront, but Eminem brought the "ghetto" White MC to the forefront. KRS did have two monikers, but like I said, Eminem brought it to the FOREFRONT (capitalized it before but you seem to have missed it). As Slim Shady Eminem says some pretty outlandish things, as Marshall he talks more about his life but not as graphically as Shady.

Pac didn't change monikers, he was always a conscious thug.

  • @Fredfiness We seem to agree to disagree. MC Search of 3rd Bass used to hang out in Far Rockaway Queens a tough neighborhood in NY just to promote his music. That was unheard of in the 80's especially when rap was brand new. Em def raised the bar for white MC's. He was talking about his life on the Marshall Mathers LP but he was saying some very outlandish things. Kill You. Remember Me, Marshall Mathers, I never knew I, Drug Ballad, etc. He was wilding on that whole album.

  • @EzMoneyBoy464 Yeah that's true, but that was his Slim Shady persona. After the Slim Shady LP dropped he included that personality in every album.

    Agree to disagree. :)

  • @Fredfiness Yeah thats pretty much his gimmic. KRS is the teacher, Nas is the Poet, Hov is the Hustler, Rakim is Supreme Mathmatics. I aint hating Em. He's really talented and 1 of the top 5 lyrical rappers in the game right now hands down
