Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to find some specific music of Googoosh that she did BEFORE the revolution. 1970s songs. I lost a beautiful tape of her music many years ago and have been trying to find the music ever since. I'm at a disadvantage, because at the time all those years ago, I was just in love with her beautiful songs and I didn't pay attention to their titles. I know very little Farsi. Where should I begin? Thanks.

@lloydbrookes10 Hassan Shamaizadeh is one of them. He composed some of her most famous songs. Farid Zaland is another, he composed "Man Ameedam" for her.

@depmode23 thanks depmode23, you are a legend! I looked up those two composers and they are behind some of my all-time favourite songs (e.g. Shekayat).. Googoosh is rightly idolised but the real heroes to me are the composers behind such moving work

@lloydbrookes10 The lyrics of this song are by Shahyar Ghanbari, the compositon and melody are by Babak Afshar (they also did Gheseye Bare Va Gorg). One of the greatest arrangers was Varoojan (he arranged most of Googoosh's pre-revolutionary work). All great composers and lyricists yes, but no one sings these songs like Googoosh. Her interpretations are very unique. :)

@mrmagassi Facscinating, thanks! Will be researching Afshar hard, i must hear more of his work.. particularly as he also composed Gheseye Bare Va Gorg - pure genius.. And i agree about Googoosh's interpretations, she adds soul, depth and drama to the material.. Have you heard Montazer by Ramesh? I have uploaded it.. That song and Ramesh's voice almost reduce me to tears!

قدیم یه خواننده می اومد ساده اجرا می کرد ولی آهنگ ها واقعا قوی و عالی بود. هم شعر هم آهنگ.الان کلی خرج می کنن واسه ویدئو یه مشت زن لخت هم اون وسط می رقصن و نور و خونه مجلل و ماشین بنز آخرش هم آدم رغبت نمی کنه موزیک رو برای بار دوم گوش بده.
