I think it's time to boot this idiot out and every other idiot from office. Since 2006 we've had Democrats control both houses and in return we've been in hell for the pas 4 years. And yet they blame that's ONLY Bush's fault.....Pleaseeee.
I'm not saying that Bush is perfect but I'm saying these Dem's haven't done crap in 4 years. Just more debt and empty promises even holding both houses and even the White House for the past year and a half.
Four years ago, Nancy Pelosi and her fellow Congressional Democrats took control of Washington with a promise to drain the so-called "swamp" of corruption and have, as she said, "The most honest, the most open and the most ethical Congress in history."
You're right, Pelosi promised "The most honest, the most open and the most ethical Congress in history"......Fact is, this is the worst Congress EVER in America with a 18% approval rating and more ethical problems than ever. Everyone there seem to be either gay and coming out from the closet or have mistresses (both dems and reps). Hopefully americans boot most of them out a start fresh.

John Ensign said Clinton should step down for cheating on his wife yet did he? replace John Ensign one of the men changing the GOP to the party of no family values.
If I remember correctly, Ensign asked For Clinton's resignation because he committed perjury. It had nothing to do with his affair. It was because Clinton committed a crime. But none of this has anything to do with Nancy Pelosi, so why even mention it on this video's page?
Yeah...I don't really like Pelosi. Did any of you see her say her bit at the Health Reform Summit? Who was she talking to?? I think herself. Her eyes just scanned the room as she said her speech....pretty bad.
I love the liberal threads, same old stinky boot they drink from. Waaaaa, if it weren't for the GOP waaaaa. You control the House, the Senate, the prez and if you lose- just point thing finger to the mirror suckers.
Name one thing the Patriot Act has done to violate your liberties? You can't. The crybaby left who demonized Bush for the Patriot, act like good little Obama sheep and keep quiet when Obama extends it. Sure both sides offer plenty of hypocrisy but your side is for statism, for a man's love for another man's rectum as a civil right, for weakening America and calling success in Iraq when they did jack shit.
Um the PATRIOT Act is blatantly unconstitutional and no real Republican would have even considered voting for it. Both sides are for statism, "loving another man's rectum" IS a civil right, and how is intolerance of war crimes weakening our country?
You can't name a liberty that was violated by the Patriot Act because Americans are not the target. Both sides are not for statism, only one side is. Terrorism is not the jurisdiction of the courts. War crimes are what Islamists commit. Love for another man's rectum is not a civil right but a deranged life who would have been criminalized just 50 years ago if not for liberal judges or put to death today in Iran.
The Patriot Act ONLY applies to suspected terrorists. So the only way it could impede on your privacy is if you are suspected of being a terrorist. Are you?
This reptilian bitch, would have you believe she gives a fuck. Try to picture her as not giving a fuck for anyone, except herself; it's easy, if you try.
Most people voted for Obama because they were afraid of "another 4 years" of Bush like policies. Those same people couldn't name a single policy that Obama supported. They voted based on the fears that the Obama campaign propagated. Who's REALLY trying to spread hate and fear. Let's not forget leftists like Janeane Garofalo Sean Penn who want to either kill or imprison anyone who disagrees with them. We may have our prejudices but it's the left that spreads their hate and fear.
The Repub Party made a HORRIBLE choice in Nominating that Elitist Globalist Moderate Liberal fraud BUSH
he severely damaged the party and obviously the Moron NEVER was a true genuine Conservative.
he was a big govt. big spending Open Borders illegal alien loving Phony . Shame on EVERYONE in the Repub Party who falsely labeled this Moron from TX a conservative.
Pelosi told local elected officials assembled that Congress "[has] to pass the bill so you can find out what's in it, away from the fog of controversy."
This is the same Nancy Pelosi who, only weeks earlier, was bragging about the transparency of the process that produced the bill that is currently stalled in Congress. This is the Senate bill passed at Christmas, what is she hiding?
Its' time to change Washington alright. Time to end the reign of ALL the career politicians who have ransacked our nation. Party politics has become too much like professional wrestling. Too much you're with us or against us crap. The Republicans and the Democrats bankrupted this nation through corruption and special interest deal making and the career politicians need to go home.
So... Just because she didn't want another political tool to be pulled off from the democrats side, she's wrong? Grow up, politics is just who has the most votes to affect our governments arms and legs.
- Insists that "not all cultures are equal; not all values are equal".
- Claims that because CO2 is found in nature that it poses absolutely no threat when exposed to the atmosphere in large amounts.
Steve King:
- Wrote a letter explaining that Joe Wilson had no obligation to apologize to the nation for rudely (and incorrectly) interrupting the President during the Healthcare Speech to Congress ("You Lie!").
- Stringently believes that "When you take a lurch to the left you end up...
Bachmann: She's right, or do you like the practice of "breast ironing" that occurs in Africa? Or perhaps female genital mutilation? The correlation of CO2 to AGW has been debunked, CO2 slopes upward, while Earth temps fluctuate with solar radiation.
King: The Senate bill allows illegal immigrants to participate in the Exchange and doesn't require the use of the System Alien Verification for Entitlements.
Leftism is equality, rightism is liberty. Equality is enforced by totalitarian dictate...
Bachmann is scientifically incorrect! Of course we breathe out CO2, and that is countered by its conversion to O2 by trees! But when the amount of CO2 being extolled by cars, factories, etc goes beyond exceeding the amount that the drastically falling number of trees can handle the we get a huge excess in the atmosphere causing the GREENHOUSE EFFECT wherin heat from the sun becomes TRAPPED in the atmosphere and can't escape from Earth
And she had the nerve to try to sell that to Congress.
But we've never had true conservatism (or true liberalism)
A true small government conservative would not allow the government to infringe on social rights such as the right to use marijuana or the right for same sex couples to have the same tax benefits as heterosexual married couples. Nor would a small government conservative support a war undeclared by congress.
So rightism allows for the government to infringe on our natural liberties of privacy and social freedom?
Liberty is institutional individualism that maintains order between free people, not letting people do whatever.
There is no "natural liberties of privacy and social freedom".
Privacy is contingent on intent. If someone wants privacy to rape children or plot to kill people, they're anti-liberty.
Liberty allows free people to make laws for themselves. The majority of Americans have exercised democracy on social issues, as is their right in the US.
Our government is infringing on human liberties and torturing people in the name of safety.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"
- Ben Franklin
If you don't consider insistence that a torture center open corruption; the spewing of anti-Scientific claims in front of Congress to satisfy a party corruption; if you don't consider the blind ideology that Steve King promotes for votes corruption; you are beyond my help.
The treatment detainees receive in Gitmo is better than any inmate receives in a US prison. It would be a violation of their civil rights to house detainees in a US prison.
Personally, if I ever have to go to prison, I'd ask the judge to send me to Club Gitmo, so I can get fat, happy, well-connected, and enjoy the sun, instead of being holed up in a gang-run rape-dungeon in the US.
I invite you to go to Gitmo, want to have fun getting water boarded when YOU can't tell them anything they want to know?
Waterboarding is torture. If you honestly believe that simulated drowning isn't torture, YOU are naive. Why do you think they train special forces in the Navy against it? Other (non-free) countries use it as interrogation. Well we aren't other countries. We aren't like the Khmer Rouge or Nazi Germany. WE ARE AMERICA! WE DON'T TORTURE. PERIOD!
Waterboarding was used on a narrow group of terrorists in a systematic way to obtain valueable intel.
Simulated drowning is torture, but what is wrong with torture? "Torture" merely means "to twist".
Let me ask you, which is worse: to be waterboarded or to be bombed by a Predator drone? In case you forgot, this is a war. We are killing people with live ammo. KSM is still alive, would you rather we had killed him?
The US used torture in the War against the Barbary Pirates, the War of 1812, and the Civil War, and WWII.
We used terrorism in the American Revolution, 1812, the Civil War (ever heard of Sherman's March?) and probably a few other things could be called terror in more recent wars.
Let me guess, Jackson and Lincoln were evil neocons? LOL. Hell, Lincoln suspended habeas corpus! Not even Cheney would do that.
...in a totalitarian dictatorship. There's no freedom to the left, it's always to our (Republican) side of the aisle". Torture and the PATRIOT act are marks of freedom and liberty and not marks of totalitarian dictatorships?
Mitch McConnell:
- Instrumental in sending LOADS of Kentucky's jobs overseas... almost fully insolvent in listening to the pleas of his constituents.
The right to survive is not contradictory to liberty. The sole purpose of the federal govt is to destroy enemies of our way of life, our economic system, and our liberties. The Patriot Act has been renewed by both parties and is a legitimate use of the govt's power. Enhanced interrogation has been the most effective weapon against transnational Islamic terrorism.
McConnell: the biggest loss of Kentucky jobs is by Ray Lahood's campaign against non-unionized autoworkers.
Sure, we haven't had an attack on our soil since 9-11. But that's due to heightened security, NOT TORTURE! Torture, which you try to mask as 'enhanced interrogation' incites more hatred within the minds of extremists. We had been abusing Middle Eastern for 50 years before 9-11, ever since we installed the Shah of Iran in the 1950's! We weren't attacked because we're free, we were intervening!
We are America, we don't torture. Plain and simple.
I agree, we don't torture. But the interrogation methods used are valid and helpful.
If you don't want us to use intelligence in this war, just say so. But understand that the only alternative is indiscriminate killing, no care whether the targets are civilians or not.
Actually, that's precisely what has begun to happen in Afghanistan: the Obama administration is murdering people, because they don't know how to gain intel from them without using enhanced interrogation they abhor.

The interrogation methods used are torture! Water-boarding is torture. If you don't believe that, then you're beyond my help.
Second of all, Iraq isn't really a WAR, this was a unilateral and unnecessary invasion. We are at war with an idea: terrorism, which cannot be fought physically, but can be defeated by refusing to provoke foreign hatred of the United States with our massively interventionist policies.
The best way for us to stop terrorism is for us to stop funding it with our dependence on oil and stop it by gradually withdrawing our influence in the middle east.
They don't hate us because we're free, we've been bombing them for the past 20 years and placing military bases there? What if we had a coup d'etat here and China decided to try preemptively come in and set up a government here while taking our resources and set up military bases? How would we react? WE'D FIGHT BACK!
On the one hand we influence the Middle East, on the other our trade with them creates terrorism? A confusing theory you have there.
Radical Islamists don't hate us because we are free, they hate us because we aren't radical Islamists bent on killing anyone who doesn't submit to Allah. It is a fundamental ideological struggle between Islamic fundamentalism as Western cornucopian liberty.
"We'd fight back!" Were you ever a Confederate soldier? LOL
The confederate analogy is that there was a coup and the US set up puppet government throughout the South, seized land and treasure, and used spheres of influence to eradicate the Southern culture.
I'm no sympathizer to the Confederacy, I believe the US acted appropriately. But by your reasoning, you ought to be a sympathizer. You want to blame the US for its nation-building in the Middle East, why not blame the US for what they did during Reconstruction?
John Boehner is the most stringently partisan man in Congress, absolutely unwilling to consider anything with the donkey in its midst. He's uncompromising, and has brought Congress to a standstill.
The most partisan member of Congress in the last five years is now the President of the United States. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have literally locked Republicans out of negotiations on the most important pieces of legislation, holding back-room deals to buy the votes of key Blue Dogs.
John Boehner's voting record is irrelevant, as his party has no power in the House. The ineffectiveness of the Democrats is solely to blame for their inability to get anything done in the 3+ years they've had.
If the Dems have held the Republicans still, why is it that they have been able to stop health care reform (we're not debating that now) for the past YEAR even when Dems had a supermajority? Why are there blue dogs? Because the Republicans have influence, no matter how few, and they grab that influence for political points and in turn stop the progress of the governments efforts to aid the mess we're in! GWB was in office for 2 of those past 3 years, and their majority was smaller in congress.
You're confusing "Republicans" with "the American people".
The American people have rejected health care reform, without the Republicans. Blue Dogs are not at the whim of the GOP, on the contrary, a Blue Dog worries about his own district first, and his own party second.
The will of the people and the Constitution have been the only roadblocks for the Democratic majority.
Thank God those roadblocks are indeed still mighty to reject the tyrannical attempts of the current regime.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
That depends on what you mean by health care reform. All Americans in their right minds know something has to be done, but the Republicans are dead set on stopping it right now but, for some reason, have posed no viable solutions!
They say they want to make sure costs for health care reform are reasonable... THEY HAD TEN YEARS! Why didn't they do any reform then? We already knew it was going to go bust since the early 2000s!
Our right-wing government infringed on human liberties beginning shortly after 9-11. They promote torture, doing more harm than good.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"
- Ben Franklin
If you don't consider favoring a torture center corruption; or selling anti-Scientific claims in front of Congress for party points corruption; or the blind/false ideology that S. King promotes to be corruption, you're lost.
Corruption is the abuse of legislative power for personal financial or political gain.
In other words, corruption is the Stimulus program, a slush fund to buy off voters in 2010 and 2012.
Corruption is the Cornhusker kickback, the Louisiana Purchase, and GatorAid.
Corruption is offering Sestak a WH job if he drops his primary challenge, or giving Jim Matheson's brother a federal judgeship to gain his vote for ObamaCare.
Corruption is "business as usual" for the Democrats.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
VOTERS!? You think the Stimulus Package was to buy votes!? Yeah, our economy's sliding, let's inject funds into the system so people will like us better.
We lost about 600,000 jobs in January 2009, right about the time Bush left.
Guess how many jobs were lost in November 2009: 11,000.
The stimulus is providing TAX CUTS and creating jobs.
Jack Abramoff is corruption, Sarah Palin's spending spree while preaching fiscal conservatism....
If the Stimulus really is working, why has the govt only spent 12% of the $787 billion? Every Kenynesian says to spend it all quickly. Truth is, the Stimulus is earmarked to be spent leading up in the next few election cycles. It's a slush fund to buy votes.
It's funny that whine about corporate corruption, which, hey, I agree with you.
But the biggest, most corrupt corporation is the federal government. The rightwing solution to both corporate and federal corruption is LESS government.
The leftwing solution is not a solution at all. MORE government just gives business the incentive to seek handouts, pork, favors, backroom deals, and the like.
If you really want to stop corporate corruption, remove the trough so the pigs won't show up hungry.

Funny video. Change Washington? You had the Congress for years, and that didn't go so well. At least the Democrats haven't been /actively/ trying to take away our freedoms--not yes, anyway.
Certainly the Democrats are bad too, but the Republicans wrote the PATRIOT Act. And it passed with bipartisan support. But still, the audacity of the GOP to clamor for "change" and the gullibility of the people who believe it is rather surprising.
Just last week the Democrats renewed the Patriot Act with no changes. The Democrats have been in power for over 3 years now, and have yet to change the Patriot Act.
I'm aware of that, but that's just a continuation of old policies, not creation of new ones. That's not to say that things haven't gotten worse since 2008, but I'd think all real Republicans would agree that a gridlocked Democratic Congress is better than a a Congress dominated by neocons.
You seem to need everything spelled out for you, so let me teach you... again.
A neo-con is not a conservative. A neo-con loves big government in the realm of social issues and is the slave to the military industrial complex. They send us to war for economic gain and try to mask it off as essential to safety, they do the same with the taking of people's rights to be sovereign from their government as well. They are stubborn beyond belief, unwilling to admit they are wrong or compromise. EVER.
You left out the part about neocons slaughtering kittens and eating babies.
By your definition, there are no neocons. I asked for policy positions. I'd also like principles, if you can dream up some for your fantasy enemies.
Have you been listening to fellow anti-neocon, pro-Marxists like John Patrick Bedell, Joe Stack, Amy Bishop, and Bruce Ivins again? You people are paranoid.
And the internet censorship one is wrong you need to check that out, although I do know what your talking about, but that bill has support on both sides.
And Republicans didn't take rights away either, except natural rights to sovereignty from government (privacy), the right for same-sex couples to have the same federal tax benefits as heterosexual couples, and the right for Congress to determine whether we enter an unnecessary war or not...
Yeah, the GOP held Congress from 1995 to 2006. How were those years for you?
My recollection is that before the GOP took over, Democratic policy had us mired in red tape and unsustainable entitlement spending.
Then when the Democrats took over in 2006, the financial crisis hit, Fannie and Freddie began giving out mortgages like hotcakes, we entered a depression, and now the Dems are blowing money like Eric Massa blows...well, you get the idea.
1995-2006 We all had jobs and our 401ks were worth a lot more then today. Fannie and Freddie the two left wing government backed morgatage companies and congress let us all down. Obama just gave Fannie and Freddie unlimited funds of you money and gave their CEOs 40 million in bonuses. Obama has expanded medicaid in the stimulus and both budgets. He has expanded every program full of fraud and abuse. Exactly what is he trying to do to America. Its hard not to ask that question.
At least Democrats actually DID something about their ethical problems. Massa resigned, Rangel stepped down from his leadership position, Patterson ended his re-election campaign and may yet resign. Ensign, Vitter, Sanford, Craig, they're all still around and not showing any remorse for their actions. Apparently they're following the "I'm not an alcoholic. Alcoholics go to meetings" school of thought. It's not a problem unless you admit to doing something wrong.
I agree with most Republican views, but I don't like this ad. Rep. Massa was pushed out by Democrats because he wouldn't vote for healthcare reform proposed by the President and Pelosi. The sex allegations were not true, only a way to send him out.
No one is blaming her for the actual behaviors. She's being blamed for her lack of leadership on how she handled it. Rangel is the perfect example. He's been hounded for 2+ years over his sleazy deals and she's defended him every step of the way.
Ha Ha Ha! See ya, BITCH! Go back to hell and take that walking turd Alan Grayson with you!!!

Name one thing the Patriot Act has done to violate your liberties? You can't. The crybaby left who demonized Bush for the Patriot, act like good little Obama sheep and keep quiet when Obama extends it. Sure both sides offer plenty of hypocrisy but your side is for statism, for a man's love for another man's rectum as a civil right, for weakening America and calling success in Iraq when they did jack shit.
tankhunter091002 2 years ago 7
Um the PATRIOT Act is blatantly unconstitutional and no real Republican would have even considered voting for it. Both sides are for statism, "loving another man's rectum" IS a civil right, and how is intolerance of war crimes weakening our country?
Madfoot713 2 years ago
You can't name a liberty that was violated by the Patriot Act because Americans are not the target. Both sides are not for statism, only one side is. Terrorism is not the jurisdiction of the courts. War crimes are what Islamists commit. Love for another man's rectum is not a civil right but a deranged life who would have been criminalized just 50 years ago if not for liberal judges or put to death today in Iran.

thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
Bachmann: She's right, or do you like the practice of "breast ironing" that occurs in Africa? Or perhaps female genital mutilation? The correlation of CO2 to AGW has been debunked, CO2 slopes upward, while Earth temps fluctuate with solar radiation.
King: The Senate bill allows illegal immigrants to participate in the Exchange and doesn't require the use of the System Alien Verification for Entitlements.
Leftism is equality, rightism is liberty. Equality is enforced by totalitarian dictate...
aeuiono 2 years ago
Bachmann is scientifically incorrect! Of course we breathe out CO2, and that is countered by its conversion to O2 by trees! But when the amount of CO2 being extolled by cars, factories, etc goes beyond exceeding the amount that the drastically falling number of trees can handle the we get a huge excess in the atmosphere causing the GREENHOUSE EFFECT wherin heat from the sun becomes TRAPPED in the atmosphere and can't escape from Earth
And she had the nerve to try to sell that to Congress.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
95% of greenhouse gas is water vapor. CO2 makes up less than 1% of greenhouse gases, and less than 5% of that is produced by humans or machinery.
Are you also one of these people, like Felix Ortiz whom think salt and sugar are actually poisons and should be banned?
In case you haven't noticed, not only have AGW models been proven false, the methodology behind them is abysmally anti-scientific.
aeuiono 2 years ago
"Rightism is liberty"
But we've never had true conservatism (or true liberalism)
A true small government conservative would not allow the government to infringe on social rights such as the right to use marijuana or the right for same sex couples to have the same tax benefits as heterosexual married couples. Nor would a small government conservative support a war undeclared by congress.
So rightism allows for the government to infringe on our natural liberties of privacy and social freedom?
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
You're confusing freedom with liberty.
The majority of Americans have exercised democracy on social issues, as is their right in the US.
aeuiono 2 years ago
Our government is infringing on human liberties and torturing people in the name of safety.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"
- Ben Franklin
If you don't consider insistence that a torture center open corruption; the spewing of anti-Scientific claims in front of Congress to satisfy a party corruption; if you don't consider the blind ideology that Steve King promotes for votes corruption; you are beyond my help.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
What is a torture center?
If you mean Gitmo, that's just naive of you.
The treatment detainees receive in Gitmo is better than any inmate receives in a US prison. It would be a violation of their civil rights to house detainees in a US prison.
Personally, if I ever have to go to prison, I'd ask the judge to send me to Club Gitmo, so I can get fat, happy, well-connected, and enjoy the sun, instead of being holed up in a gang-run rape-dungeon in the US.
aeuiono 2 years ago
I invite you to go to Gitmo, want to have fun getting water boarded when YOU can't tell them anything they want to know?
Waterboarding is torture. If you honestly believe that simulated drowning isn't torture, YOU are naive. Why do you think they train special forces in the Navy against it? Other (non-free) countries use it as interrogation. Well we aren't other countries. We aren't like the Khmer Rouge or Nazi Germany. WE ARE AMERICA! WE DON'T TORTURE. PERIOD!
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
Waterboarding was used on a narrow group of terrorists in a systematic way to obtain valueable intel.
Simulated drowning is torture, but what is wrong with torture? "Torture" merely means "to twist".
Let me ask you, which is worse: to be waterboarded or to be bombed by a Predator drone? In case you forgot, this is a war. We are killing people with live ammo. KSM is still alive, would you rather we had killed him?
aeuiono 2 years ago
"WE ARE AMERICA! WE DON"T TORTURE."
All's fair in war, the point is that we survive.
aeuiono 2 years ago
...in a totalitarian dictatorship. There's no freedom to the left, it's always to our (Republican) side of the aisle". Torture and the PATRIOT act are marks of freedom and liberty and not marks of totalitarian dictatorships?
Mitch McConnell:
- Instrumental in sending LOADS of Kentucky's jobs overseas... almost fully insolvent in listening to the pleas of his constituents.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
The right to survive is not contradictory to liberty. The sole purpose of the federal govt is to destroy enemies of our way of life, our economic system, and our liberties. The Patriot Act has been renewed by both parties and is a legitimate use of the govt's power. Enhanced interrogation has been the most effective weapon against transnational Islamic terrorism.
McConnell: the biggest loss of Kentucky jobs is by Ray Lahood's campaign against non-unionized autoworkers.
aeuiono 2 years ago
Enhanced interrogation helped!?
Sure, we haven't had an attack on our soil since 9-11. But that's due to heightened security, NOT TORTURE! Torture, which you try to mask as 'enhanced interrogation' incites more hatred within the minds of extremists. We had been abusing Middle Eastern for 50 years before 9-11, ever since we installed the Shah of Iran in the 1950's! We weren't attacked because we're free, we were intervening!
We are America, we don't torture. Plain and simple.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
I agree, we don't torture. But the interrogation methods used are valid and helpful.
If you don't want us to use intelligence in this war, just say so. But understand that the only alternative is indiscriminate killing, no care whether the targets are civilians or not.
Actually, that's precisely what has begun to happen in Afghanistan: the Obama administration is murdering people, because they don't know how to gain intel from them without using enhanced interrogation they abhor.
aeuiono 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
The interrogation methods used are torture! Water-boarding is torture. If you don't believe that, then you're beyond my help.
Second of all, Iraq isn't really a WAR, this was a unilateral and unnecessary invasion. We are at war with an idea: terrorism, which cannot be fought physically, but can be defeated by refusing to provoke foreign hatred of the United States with our massively interventionist policies.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
The best way for us to stop terrorism is for us to stop funding it with our dependence on oil and stop it by gradually withdrawing our influence in the middle east.
They don't hate us because we're free, we've been bombing them for the past 20 years and placing military bases there? What if we had a coup d'etat here and China decided to try preemptively come in and set up a government here while taking our resources and set up military bases? How would we react? WE'D FIGHT BACK!
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
On the one hand we influence the Middle East, on the other our trade with them creates terrorism? A confusing theory you have there.
Radical Islamists don't hate us because we are free, they hate us because we aren't radical Islamists bent on killing anyone who doesn't submit to Allah. It is a fundamental ideological struggle between Islamic fundamentalism as Western cornucopian liberty.
"We'd fight back!" Were you ever a Confederate soldier? LOL
aeuiono 2 years ago
When I referenced our trade with them I meant that our dependency on foreign oil has funded radical groups such as Al-Qaeda.
We've been bombing the middle east for YEARS!
Also, I don't quite understand our Confederate analogy? Please explain what you meant by that.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
The confederate analogy is that there was a coup and the US set up puppet government throughout the South, seized land and treasure, and used spheres of influence to eradicate the Southern culture.
I'm no sympathizer to the Confederacy, I believe the US acted appropriately. But by your reasoning, you ought to be a sympathizer. You want to blame the US for its nation-building in the Middle East, why not blame the US for what they did during Reconstruction?
Was Lincoln a "neocon"?

John Boehner is the most stringently partisan man in Congress, absolutely unwilling to consider anything with the donkey in its midst. He's uncompromising, and has brought Congress to a standstill.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
The most partisan member of Congress in the last five years is now the President of the United States. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have literally locked Republicans out of negotiations on the most important pieces of legislation, holding back-room deals to buy the votes of key Blue Dogs.
John Boehner's voting record is irrelevant, as his party has no power in the House. The ineffectiveness of the Democrats is solely to blame for their inability to get anything done in the 3+ years they've had.
aeuiono 2 years ago
If the Dems have held the Republicans still, why is it that they have been able to stop health care reform (we're not debating that now) for the past YEAR even when Dems had a supermajority? Why are there blue dogs? Because the Republicans have influence, no matter how few, and they grab that influence for political points and in turn stop the progress of the governments efforts to aid the mess we're in! GWB was in office for 2 of those past 3 years, and their majority was smaller in congress.
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
You're confusing "Republicans" with "the American people".
The American people have rejected health care reform, without the Republicans. Blue Dogs are not at the whim of the GOP, on the contrary, a Blue Dog worries about his own district first, and his own party second.
The will of the people and the Constitution have been the only roadblocks for the Democratic majority.
Thank God those roadblocks are indeed still mighty to reject the tyrannical attempts of the current regime.
aeuiono 2 years ago

That depends on what you mean by health care reform. All Americans in their right minds know something has to be done, but the Republicans are dead set on stopping it right now but, for some reason, have posed no viable solutions!
They say they want to make sure costs for health care reform are reasonable... THEY HAD TEN YEARS! Why didn't they do any reform then? We already knew it was going to go bust since the early 2000s!
thehoaxbuster 2 years ago
The GOP has proposed health care reform solutions. Ever heard of Paul Ryan? Here's a rundown:
-Reduce waste in Medicare (Obama adopted this one).
-Tort reform.
-Private insurance competition across state lines.
-Personal portability: if you change jobs or lose your job, your insurance should stay with you.
-Incentivize personal Health Savings Accounts.
-Allow young people to invest a portion of their own SS, into savings accounts or Roth IRAs, so they can accrue value over time.
aeuiono 2 years ago
None of your charges have to do with "corruption". You said those 4 Republicans were corrupt; what makes them corrupt?
aeuiono 2 years ago
Our right-wing government infringed on human liberties beginning shortly after 9-11. They promote torture, doing more harm than good.
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety"

But the biggest, most corrupt corporation is the federal government. The rightwing solution to both corporate and federal corruption is LESS government.
The leftwing solution is not a solution at all. MORE government just gives business the incentive to seek handouts, pork, favors, backroom deals, and the like.

aeuiono 2 years ago
You seem to need everything spelled out for you, so let me teach you... again.
A neo-con is not a conservative. A neo-con loves big government in the realm of social issues and is the slave to the military industrial complex. They send us to war for economic gain and try to mask it off as essential to safety, they do the same with the taking of people's rights to be sovereign from their government as well. They are stubborn beyond belief, unwilling to admit they are wrong or compromise. EVER.

I agree with most Republican views, but I don't like this ad. Rep. Massa was pushed out by Democrats because he wouldn't vote for healthcare reform proposed by the President and Pelosi. The sex allegations were not true, only a way to send him out.

how is Nancy Pelosi responsible for the sexual harassment and tax aversion of two other dudes? Those guys stepped down, don't blame it on Nancy.
zunathanzu 2 years ago
No one said she was responsible; you ass. She had defended them after what they have done.
Sneak174 2 years ago 4
don't call me an ass. She defended them before she knew that they had really done what they had done.
zunathanzu 2 years ago
And more so after she had found out about what they had done; you stupid ass.

@zunathanzu
No one is blaming her for the actual behaviors. She's being blamed for her lack of leadership on how she handled it. Rangel is the perfect example. He's been hounded for 2+ years over his sleazy deals and she's defended him every step of the way.

@ButterflyDragon9
Thats called Party solidarity. Remember it was the democrats themselves who pushed Rangel out.
zunathanzu 2 years ago
Rangel isn't out, Massa is.
Can you spot the difference? Massa refused to vote for the Senate health care bill because it lacked a public option, so he was pushed out.
Rangel is a lock to vote for the bill, but has actually committed crimes. No investigation will be conducted, Rangel remains in his seat.
