Tony is good; however, I agree that he has not changed over the years, nor has he really gotten any better. It still sounds the same. Nobody can touch Carter Beauford. And FYI, Joey is just snotty Travis Barker: the only people that think he is even remotely good are amateurs. They don't even have a clue what drumming is truly about. Peace all!

i will have to admit, double bass is over rated. I bought a double bass pedal and i rarely ever use the double pedal i just use the main one. Tony royster jr is one of the few drummers now and days that doesn't need a double bass or double bass pedal to sound good. He just chooses to use the double bass. Tony man you are good

This is Tony Royster Jr (who is now around 24) playing as a teenager. He was a prodigy. I have heard Tony Royster, his dad, also played drums. I really don't know if that's true. I think that the confusion comes from people dropping the Jr when they talk about him.

@thanksmisfortune regardless of drumming, tony has been at the forefront of modern drumming. it's not about genre, tony has more groove and is a better drummer than travis by miles. i'm not really seeing travis do some revolutionary stuff like tony.

@Bzong well then i definitely WONT argue with you that tony has got some skills compared to travis, even though I love trav, but let's face it - travis can't DO what tony does on drums.

@Bzong i dont know who ever said travis was good all he does is hiphop beats that anyone with 1 year of exp can do. And you could say that about tony to any drummer who ever lived and is still living. He is STRAIGHT the most technical drummer on earth.

@Bzong I guess it would be hard to compare anyone to someone who could 1 hand triplet faster then my 2 handed flan. But tony royster will blow any man who ever lived out of the water in a drum battle.

Its a linear groove i think I have sticking to something very close and it was tough it took about three hours without stoping to get it down

Wow... Tony royster was so good as his age back then. this is truly a gift from above to be able to do something like this at such a young age.
and in todays day... I think he is the best drummer alive!!!

This is Tony Royster Jr (who is now around 24) playing as a teenager. He was a prodigy. I have heard Tony Royster, his dad, also played drums. I really don't know if that's true. I think that the confusion comes from people dropping the Jr when they talk about him.
