From my experience the evo handles better at higher speeds. Both are great boards to ride, and the UA works great for carving and transportation. Hope that helps.
No one in your video went over 60 mph, or even near it. Im sick of people claiming to go these crazy speeds. When they clearly are going like, 30-40 km per hour. I watched your videos Landyachter, maybe you do faster stuff in other videos. You didnt touch any speed in the few you have posted. Its good that you have protection at least.
I've never claimed that I'm going sixty mph in my vids. All the taping we have done has been in iowa. Nothing here is really large enough to get huge speeds. We just like to focus on having a good time, and hope that someone may enjoy what we put together. Keep an eye out or subscribe to my channel, I'll be posting a lot more this summer, including some sick road trips to big ass hills
yeah... keep in mind we were just getting started in all this and this was my first vid. If you like the skating check out the other vids I posted on my channel. Thanks for watchin... peace
the difference in stability is completely dependent on what trucks you rock. throw some smokies or kalahani's on that bad boy and you will be stable as a rock at top speeds.
i hear that some people complain about the angles of the truck mounts on the UA i would say go with the evo and look at daddiesboardshop. com cuz i find they have the best prices and service, thats where i got my DH Race
How close they are to the ground depends on the size of your trucks/risers/wheels. Both have an equal dip, Evo is more for downhill and can be a cruiser, the urban assault has the tail which makes it better for commutes. Not that the UA can't bomb hills, just a little quicker to get wobbles.
The Evo is a very versatile board. I have wide (randal 180) trucks on mine and it is so easy to control. My friend has a DH race set up for strictly downhill and it wont even take a turn, and is hard to stay on. So, long story short,,,, Evo is the best in my opinion.
Im a DH rider and i still love it... ha ha what suprises me tho is that most pro riders still choose the evo instead the dh even tho it is probably less stable...... who cares anyways, every landyachtz deck is awsome

DH Race is way more stable if you have smaller feet - but I'd go with a KebbeK.

I have a Urban but I don't like how huge the tail is. I'm thinking of trying some sliding.
