The reason Decapitations arent in RE5 is because in Japan RE4 was almost banned for that reason. At the last moment Developers changed it so Leon still had his head but his face got mutilated. To avoid the issue they kept the heads on this time around

Japan has some problem with decapitations, although I don't know why because I haven't looked into that. Capcom, when making RE5, probably didn't want to change anything for other regions so they decided to hide the head when the body falls, but due to there being a railing right next to excella in this video the camera is pushed more closer and at a different angle

@vulcathene The reason why it isn't chopped off is because it's censored, the camera usually is in an angle where you don't see their head when they fall down. As to why you can see the head in this video however is due to the railing right next to excella which pushes the camera more closer and shows that the head is still there.

@vulcathene yeah but i think that this game has been censored/toned down, there already is alot of gore but i think its been toned down because where there should be lots of blood, there isnt, like when they get chopped in half there is hardly any blood, this is a good game so im pretty sure they missed out on stuff like that on purpose

The characters in this game just arent strong enough to survive a normal slash like Leon, so they don't get beheaded.

Capcom didn't bother programming in an animation for it because they would have to edit it out for CERO standards. Same thing happened with the JP release of RE4, although the JP release of RE4 on the wii has it in there.

Either that, or they were lazy.
