Most classic rock solos are based off the pentatonic scale. If you don't know what that is, look it up.

@CastAirLead Considering this is rock I would go for a G minor pentatonic, or a G Major pentatonic (I havn't had a chance to play along yet!). But experiment with modes and other scales too... Thats what these tracks are for right?

That's a fun tune. Sure, it's a blues pattern but then most early rock n roll followed 1 4 5 in their progressions.
