  • you had to take that little piece off the back of the core to get it turn counter clockwise didn't you?

  • I have a Schlage 6-pin that I can only pick in the lock direction. The easiest thing I found to do is get another key and file all the teeth off so you can insert it all the way in while the cylinder is turned. Then with the key between your thumb and middle finger, snap your fingers as if you were just snapping regularly. It's easier and more convenient than a rubber band, and a lot smaller (and cheaper!) than a plug spinner
