Is it based on the handles's angle? or the actual water's temperature?

For instance, if its really hot inside and the water's warm even though you only turned on the cold tap, would the water be purple or blue?

For example, it will be blue, when the water temperature is between 33 to 41 degrees.

this thing looks too large to work very well in many or most hand sink applications. A faucet with its nozzle up fairly high wouldn't be a problem, but they're uncommon because the splash is too great. Kitchen sink faucets would be hard on these, and kitchen faucets are increasingly incorporating dual-pattern or adjustable pattern sprays. Anything greater than 1" /25mm in length is doomed, and half that would be unnoticeable in most installations.

really cool, and a great idea, but can you clearly see what's being washed? If the washed object is illuminated well in a white light, then the temperature indication feature is great, but if I'm trying to get something clean, having it colored will be irritating. I think it's possible to have both, and I really love the temperature indication idea. I hope to see these available and even integrated with good quality, moderately priced faucets soon. Really awesome!
