@TheDSMsucka Not necessarily. The O2 sensor heater fault could be due to the following: Loss of power (12 volt) or ground (check relay and ground attachment). If both of these values are good then check O2 sensor continuity. If no continuity meaning that the heater element is broken, then replace the O2 sensor. So check your power and ground first, then heater element. Good luck...

That was the instruction they sent me when I bought it. But when I checked it trough the diagnostic tool at autozone, the number one sensor will give a code of negative charge. How do I fix it? Do ya know?
so if i'm getting an o2 sensor heater malfunction that means my o2 sensor is bad?

Can you tell which wire to hook the effi to I have 4 wires 2 white 1 green and 1 black.
I have a gen. but it didn't change MPG I think I need to do something to the oxygen sensor to get better MPG.
