So lets look at this from the Korean skaters point of view, you get pushed by your teammate, you approach the turn at pretty much the same time as the Chinese skater, you have the inside, adrenaline pumping, with your country watching, are you seriously going to stop and let the skater by? Really the Chinese skater cornered her so that there was no way to go but forwards or stop since the turn was coming fast. Yes DQ was right but anyone thinking the Koreans tried to cheat is an idiot.
It's a REPEAT pattern of pushing, this is why it has to stop. Watch the other Youtube videos of the Winter games when the Korean skaters pushed their Chinese competitors - there were at least a couple of Koreans each time, and one would push the Chinese competitor out of the way, thereby getting disqualified, while her other compatriot/s would go on and win the gold medals. This happened so many times, it has become a TACTIC, a very dishonest one. How can anyoneSUPPORT this disgraceful behavior?
short track is a sport where luck plays a big factor. It's the referee's opinion on the decision. Whether it is a good or bad call, it can't be judged enless it is blatent. However South Korea is the best at short track and always will be. It'll take ten olympics for a country to get more medals than Korea.

Put aside all of ur pride and love for ur country and look at the rules. If u watch u will see that the chinese skater was ahead during the exchange. Rules clearly state that the lead skater out of the exchange has the right away. Meaning that the chinese skater gets to turn first unless the Korean skater passed cleanly ahead, which she clearly didn't.

Let me just explain: lots of dqs happen in short track because lots of Koreans get dq'd. Recently, Koreans have been dq'd in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and in 2010. In other words, Korea has been dq'd in the last 10 years of winter olympics (3 olympics in a row).
That's right. Korean players get lots of dqs because as you can see there are MANY players who advance to the final. Every heat, every semi final, every final, seriously, you see lots of Korean players. So chances are high for them to get disqualified. Why you can't see Chinese or Japanese or French players who get LOTS of dqs, huh?
Not true. USA also consistently get to the finals in these events, but US doesn't get dq every time. Also, China and Canada too. Korea gets dq for every recent winter olympics in skating, and even during non olympics years too. No other country who qualify just as much, get that record. So don't generalize that every country has a history of dqs, only Korea does.

I understand that you think a referee with a bad call ever should not be allowed to judge another game, but I can not agree with you on this. For the same reason, if an athlete was disqualified, should she/he be banned forever? For most of big games (not just the Olympics), referees are hardly banned for life. Also, even if the referee has made a bad call, it doesn't mean this one is bad too. Otherwise, we have a word for it - "prejudice".
So you assume ISU would not be fair and tell the truth. You assume a referee who ever made a bad call will misjudge forever. You assume the referee was replaced because he was charged guilty, not because the committee simply wants to avoid chaos. You assume everybody who thinks korean team had a foul is biased. What else do you assume?

Folks, NBC sports narrator said DQing korean women was an inappropriate call. Yahoo Sports expert said the referee might have made a right call but in relays judges do not disqualify the entire team because of one push or touch. He said it was a wrong decision.
For fact, this Aussie referee got replaced right away by a British referee due to this controversy by IOC. In Olympics they do not overturn the result but they do something about referees if they feel referees didn't do their jobs.

It was an earlier race. Koreans were about to finish 1-2-3, the 3rd place guy took out the 2nd place guy. I was jumping up and down, over and over "why didn't they disqualify the one Korean, so the other would get 2nd place?!!!' But they let it stand, insuring one less Korean on the medal stand. So lets look at this from the Korean skaters point of view, you get pushed by your teammate, you approach the turn at pretty much the same time as the Chinese skater, you have the inside, adrenaline pumping, with your country watching, are you seriously going to stop and let the skater by? Watch the other Youtube videos of the Winter games when the Korean skaters pushed their Chinese competitors - there were at least a couple of Koreans each time, and one would push the Chinese competitor out of the way, thereby getting disqualified, while her other compatriot/s would go on and win the gold medals. Put aside all of ur pride and love for ur country and look at the rules. If u watch u will see that the chinese skater was ahead during the exchange. Rules clearly state that the lead skater out of the exchange has the right away. Meaning that the chinese skater gets to turn first unless the Korean skater passed cleanly ahead, which she clearly didn't.

Let me just explain: lots of dqs happen in short track because lots of Koreans get dq'd. Recently, Koreans have been dq'd in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and in 2010. In other words, Korea has been dq'd in the last 10 years of winter olympics (3 olympics in a row).

The problem is HOW they dominate. The reason why they dominate may attribute to the dirty plays that they do. I mean, you'd have to be ignorant to not see a history and a trend of foul plays especially in short tracks. I'm still hopeful that Korea change their image, but as of right now, Korean skater doing foul plays doesn't surprise me in the least bit. The bottom line is, factually, Korea is currently in a long streak of foul plays. That's just not deniable.

You can even see her hand's pushing motion and the Chinese skater's body get bumped up due to the push. @likewind5 Get a video that shows the whole process - not those videos from korean media, who tries to cheat you and themselves. You will see the Chinese skater was actually ahead of the korean. When the korean was passing, she made the foul by swinging too much to the outside track. Olympic Committee gave the explanation too.

Of course ISU will say that. They NEVER say it is the referee's fault. That will downgrade the power of referees. But you have to see what's happening behind scenes. That referee got 2 years of suspension in 2002 when he DQed a player which caused a lot of controversy. What I am wondering is why they keep such referee with lack of judgement and ability??? He definately got replaced by a British next day for women's 1000m which was GOOD!!!

I understand that you think a referee with a bad call ever should not be allowed to judge another game, but I can not agree with you on this. For the same reason, if an athlete was disqualified, should she/he be banned forever? For most of big games (not just the Olympics), referees are hardly banned for life. Also, even if the referee has made a bad call, it doesn't mean this one is bad too. Otherwise, we have a word for it - "prejudice".

So you assume ISU would not be fair and tell the truth. You assume a referee who ever made a bad call will misjudge forever. You assume the referee was replaced because he was charged guilty, not because the committee simply wants to avoid chaos. You assume everybody who thinks korean team had a foul is biased. By the way, the referree decided to disqalify Korean team in spite of 2 other referrees' objection. Overall, he was the one who had to make a decision. Anyways, he got suspended 2 years in 2002 when he DQed another gold medalist Korean guy, Kim Dong Sung. My point is why IOC is still using such a referee continually?

Folks, NBC sports narrator said DQing korean women was an inappropriate call. Yahoo Sports expert said the referee might have made a right call but in relays judges do not disqualify the entire team because of one push or touch. He said it was a wrong decision.
For fact, this Aussie referee got replaced right away by a British referee due to this controversy by IOC. In Olympics they do not overturn the result but they do something about referees if they feel referees didn't do their jobs.

Why did they replace unless they agree with refe's decision? Short track speeding has a lot of speed and exicitment but it can be very subjective from how you see it. So I put my comments from what I see. Do you have a problem with that?

It was an earlier race. Koreans were about to finish 1-2-3, the 3rd place guy took out the 2nd place guy. I was jumping up and down, over and over "why didn't they disqualify the one Korean, so the other would get 2nd place?!!!' But they let it stand, insuring one less Korean on the medal stand. The replay is shown over and over again.

I went to Korea on a one year work visa... and NO, I was not kicked out.... if only Korea was lucky enough to keep me there! ... no, I left cause my contract was up and I hated every second of my experience there.
