  • They don't make legs like that anymore :p

  • This has nothing on The Move's version.

    Interesting little curiousity though.

  • great

  • Tony Blackburn, mentioned this version on Pick of the Pops, and as a fan of The Fortunes, had to check it out- superb too....

  • Filmed at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, England.

  • 女の子かわいい

    the moveと比べると

    安い音で単調に聞こえるが

    かえって「古き良き時代」を感じて

    良い

  • This is not a half bad version! The video is a bit hokey (a bit Benny Hill-esque) but I love the girl in it - she is so very English.

  • Nice boots! Ooh la la.....

  • New york dj and member of the bourd of directors of the rock and roll hall of fame norm n. night said that glen dale was the leader of the fortunes maybee he was the leader as far as business decisions or guitar solos but bass player rod allen was the lead singer [ they all sing but you can see from the video that he gets the girl ] .[ they did a version of maria on there first album that has tremendous harmonizing ] .

  • Thanx for the info

  • Weird they should think Glen Dale ( lead guitarist ) was the band`s leader - he left the band in 1966 to pursue a solo career ( ! ) and they had most of their successful singles and work after this time !! Rod Allen remained their lead singer until he died in 2008 .

  • It is a nice vid. from the Fortunes, but the Move's original version of the tune sounds much better.

  • Love it thanks...

  • Rare Video And good version of The Move classic

  • Cool video. One of The Fortunes' more rock oriented efforts. Incredibly rare video to see. Wow.

  • i feel like i am watching the monkees, great song, the move's version is superior

  • I thought for sure I was the only one who thought this vid. looks very much like the vid. of the Monkees' "Last Train To Clarksville" that appears at the end of the Monkees' 1966 1st season, episode 3, "Monkee See, Monkee Die" (which is on youtube). Now, I know that I'm not alone. So, is that version of the "Last Train To Clarksville" where the Fortunes' got their inspiration for this vid?

  • The whole idea behind the monkees videos and tv shows in the first place was a take off on the beatles [another british rock group before the fortunes ] movies help and a hard days night running around with fans chasing [I think at first they wanted to use an existing group like the lovin spoonful but they manufactured a group with musician/actors .
