No Palestine before 1948? What does it take for a region before European colonialism to constitute sovereignty? Palestine was a part of Ottoman Syria; it existed and was recognized as much as Lebanon and Jordan. At the very least it was a province with its respected municipals and governors.
The Romans recognized the region of Palestine as "Palestina". The Palestinians can trace their roots to the land going back to the ancient Canaanites.

There's hard evidence that Israel is using illegal weapons, like new prototype versions of DIME, and white phosphorus. Add to that all the schools, hospitals, shelters, and homes that were targeted, it is VERY hard to argue that they were taking adequate measures to ensure the safety of innocents. I know you would say, "but hamas fighters were hiding in there."
even if that held an ounce of truth, if i were a soldier worried about harming kids, I'd stop shooting when they run into a hospital.

You can only do so much and its not hard to argue since they gave away tactical information on attacks before they happened. You can't ask for better measures. After that, its all on the people to either gtfo the way or face the consequences of stupidity by staying in a place that you know is about to be demolished. They also tried to say that there were drugs or guns on board. wrong. There is no way possible that aid ships just go about without contacting the local harbors. I promise you that in this case, as well as other cases, there are strict security measures taken, as well as appropriate communication.
Plus, that ship was all over the international media well before it ever made it to gaza. it isn't very difficult to ID ships.
You can't trust your media. However I would trust a reporter over military ANY day, if the two weren't affiliated.

You skipped over the point that the Israeli military had no idea what was on the boat supplies, food, guns, etc. And no, there isn't strict measures taken or appropriate security in a lot of cases and places. There should be, but isn't the case from first hand accounts. Saying "wrong" served no point as this did nothing to prove my statement "wrong".

Tyre is over 120 miles from Gaza, if you hug the coast. These activists claim they left at night, and returned the next day. They say the boat can make 12 knots, less than 14 miles per hour. To go out 59 miles and south to the coast of Gaza would take about 12 hours. The return trip would take 12 hours. Where were they? LOL.
