  • who the fudge wants to make this crap takes a long time

  • With his mouthful of mints: "OK, Let's make it!" :-D

  • why just not plug it into your mp3 player?

  • GAAAAA i gotta findsupadupa60's comment

  • do it with one 1T4 electron tube :)

  • Thumbs up if you want to skip to 2:57 when you come to the advert.

  • and the purpose of this is??? "\

  • this somehow turned into one LOOONNNGGG advert

  • or you could just plug your headphones into your mp3...

  • @elverte9 the amp is not for playing headphones from an mp3 player, it is for a guitar, the player was just to test that it works. Though plugging a guitar in would have been a little better proof of concept...

  • i like that one

  • HAHAHA 0:05

  • Did they just land a plane on a truck!?!

  • OK this is mint for head phones sorry bad pun anyways u can make your car stereo system loud because aux wires 2 of them will work try this with a subwoofer i have 4 altoid amps try it 50% volume sonds like 90 % yes it will work in 5 years 4 12 inch subs in my car and me being 16 here i come and in the mean time keep it real word @ronbrowzfan1234 out

  • thats cool

  • Yay...KIP KAY!!!

  • wow first time i am hearing about an amp for head[hone, why can't you just use the headpone with mp3 player directly

  • WHO ATE ALL THE ALTOIDS?????

  • must suck having to add advertisements in their videos lolol...

  • Fuck godaddy. Trash company is trash.

  • good job

  • 2 things:

Why do you need to measure the voltage of a 9 volt battery (hint in the name)

Also, Could you not just plug the headphones into the mp3 player with out the amp?????

  • why did u spit the mints out after

  • or u could buy a $5 £5 speaker duhhh

  • you could make a guitar headphone amp like the one vox did

  • where do get altoids mints

  • hmmmmmmm altoids yum

  • can you make a video of how to do this but with big... A LOT bigger speakers cuz i have these speakers but i need extra power so they can get louder

  • minty

  • you remind me of Tom Morello

  • WOW BETTER THAN BOSE

  • his poop will smell minty

  • The godaddy ad should have been "If you wanna make an impact on your pants..."

  • Great job, just wondering where I could find the schematics and parts list for this build?

  • want to do it, to lazy for it

  • The only reason I ever bought altoids was was to get the tin. I fucking hate mint

  • yoyo before hitting the dislike, this does more than only volumecontroll!

  • Thats just awesome! I wonder how much more boost that little bugger would give to my 300$ headphones LOL.

    How did he die?

Apperently the Bass from his synth liquified his brain because of this little amp.....

    Well he looks happy.....

  • that song was lunatic fringe by red rider

  • Thinking about making this project. My Asus N53SV notebook can't put out enough to really drive my Sennheiser HD 428 headphones like my old Toshiba notebook could.

  • so how do you smuggle a stollen ferari im sooo tired of this ad

  • 35 mints later...

  • 0:05 hmmmm...altoids LOL

  • nice. jammin some floyd

  • There are 312 haters in the world...

  • building on a sugar rush.

  • I hate when people try to act surprised at the beginning of their videos. "oh hey" gimme a fucking break, we're here to watch your video, and expect you to know you're on fucking camera. Oh and don't suck on mints with the mic next to your mouth you rude, slobbish motherfucker.

  • @illegalpowerli Why hello troll!

  • @Themandudebro227 Hello to you!

  • ...or just plug the headphone jack into the mp3 player?

  • whats the output on this thing and can i get the schematics?

  • be more interesting is he made it as a small guitar amp you could use to practice with so you don't wake up neighbors. Most likely all you would have to do is change the in, connector.

  • Where is the video, that kipkay does the external HD from a usb hud and a few pen-drives?

  • 0:55 wow lol hsi head shakin back and forth :P

  • GoDaddy.com...... Didnt see that coming!

  • 4:52 lunatic fringe awesome song

  • You really ate all the fucking altoids?!?!?

  • one thing i have learned is that an altoid can in hawaii is practically bullet resistant XD

  • sounds tinny

  • I could see this starting fire on the bus then some kids jumping around haha

  • Altoids sounds like a very nasty STD

  • @Calebm90 This would actually be useful for high-end heaphones that require more power.

  • @Calebm90 It isn't pointless if you are dealing with hi end headphones that require more power than the mp3 player can output.. This gives it the extra power therefor making the sound louder and more clear.

  • @Calebm90 Many laptop and mp3 player's built-in amps aren't gutsy enough to drive fancy headphones very well. If you have a crummy $20 set or plain iPod ear buds, you probably won't notice any difference. If you have entry-level "audiophile" headphones, this is a fun way to get more of a return on your existing investment, especially if you use decent quality parts.

  • I made this amp but it sounds...tinny.

  • The intros are too long

  • @alinealose who are you kidding? Your stolen guitar doesn't use an amp like that you stupid nigger

  • altoids...sounds like you need a doctor to look at that.

  • One of the worst DIY projects I've ever seen. Perfect example How NOT to do it. No part list or circuit diagramm. Did he thought no one wants to make one?

My suggestion. Search for "Little Gem" on Google. These amps are the real deal (that means you can control a speaker with them), and also made from very little parts.

  • Haha, it froze right as he finished saying MMMMMALTOIDS.

  • How about u make magazine some dr dre beats

  • nigga dats gay as fuc how i suposted to play my guitar tru dat pice of shit crazy ass white boys and thear lame ass shit comon nigga i want a guitar amp bitch cracker ass wite boy dammmmmmm duces nigga

  • what kind of mp3 player is that? looks oldish.

  • i have the same mp3 player

  • i bet his breath smelt great for a week!!!!

  • or you could plug your headphones in the mp3 player

  • that man sure can handle his altoids!!!!

  • Can someone please explain what these small altoid amps do. I saw someone suggest them for a good pair of headphones to make the sound better.. But I don't get it.

  • @jdubin94 they make your headphones louder. say you get some good headphones and they dont sound that loud at all. because thats what good headphones do. they eat power. you get the amp and plug it up and boom! awesome sound because the headphones are now getting enough power to sound as good as they can.

  • @jdubin94 possibly plug in an electric guitar

  • I just plug my headphones directly in to my mp3 player...other than looking really cool why would this be practical? even more volume I assume, but the levels I get now are more than enough

  • maybe its the altoids that make him smart

    asshell

  • He kinda sounds like my math teacher.

  • The mp3 player has two channels(stereo) but the am is mono.If i build this i would use two amps for stereo.

  • Does anyone know if this will work with a FM transmitter. I have one for my ipod to listen to my music in the car and it gives a really weak signal which is easily interfered by other radio signals.

  • Can you give me the schematic, please?

  • i have a set of speakers that this would be a help with

  • mmmmaaaaltoiids!!

  • walk around (with amp in hand, capacitor explodes!)and your hand comes off

  • Red Rider Lunatic Fringe!

  • Comment removed

  • 2:57 to skip the ad.

  • how long do it take to make one

  • why not just plug ur headphones into your mp3 player???????????????

  • @prismTTG if u can attach speaker wire to a headphone jack, and u will need a larger power source, maybe a couple 12vs

  • 10% of people forgot o eat the mints

  • how do you spell "sothering"?

  • @jimmy38774 Soldering :D

  • im trying to make an amplifier to power a couple speakers, will this work for the speakers or is it only for headphones?

  • @prismTTG yes it will

  • What the point if you need headphones?

  • @Supadupa60 lol to get better sound

  • @Supadupa60 im sure its possible to replace the headphone jack with a speaker or what ever it is you where thinking of using

  • @Supadupa60 because a lot of headphone outputs are too quiet. my computer assumes you are using speakers with a built in amp, so the output not very loud, this is perfect for that situation.

  • @Supadupa60 just wire a speaker instead

  • Comment removed

  • @Supadupa60 he was only using the headphones as a demonstrator im 1000% sure there are many more interesting ways to use this little gadget, just consider what your home theatre 5.1 amplifier does this is just a really small version

  • @Supadupa60 you can actually substitude them for a speaker, like a computer speaker you dummie

  • @Supadupa60

Experiment with it, yo. Add a speaker somewhere. It's not rocket science.

  • @Supadupa60 It's meant to be a headphone amp, but I see what you mean, they didnt mention that in the title.

  • @Supadupa60 Never heard of high impedance headphones?

  • @Supadupa60 You have no idea what amps are for, do you?

  • there rare in the us in 2011

  • Share some with Tux:)

  • But you don't need an amp for such headphones.

  • Oh it cranks... hahaha

  • i live in greece and im dying to taste altoids !!!!

  • @chrisgreece52 they're yummy

  • @hackallpokemon im gonna try to buy some from e bay

  • @chrisgreece52 it tastes like mint thats been over powered with sugar

  • @legoclockfreak710 im gonna buy some from ebay :)

  • @chrisgreece52 they kinda hurt if you dont have a good tolerance to mint

  • @chrisgreece52 WHOA!!! I live in Albania and we have them here...do you have Rossman & Lala stores there ?? They have Altoids..not so special about the taste..but leaves a strong mint taste for more than half an hour after you've finished the mint :D

  • @chrisgreece52 there not the best haha.. just peppermint

  • @chrisgreece52 ? you can just buy them here in europe?! in germany, you can get them at "Rossmann". They taste good ;)

    Just look in an drugstore.

  • @chrisgreece52 me too

  • @chrisgreece52 Tastes like sugar free minty chalk.

  • Would it be possible to use this for a guitar? If you change the input connector? So you could play on the go with some headphones or computer speakers?

  • is there a kit you can buy for all of these parts?

  • omg it's kipkay!!! ;P

  • i'd laugh is he actually ate all of those mints

  • Or just plug in the headphones, to the mp3 player..

  • @ikkel33 do you even know what an amp do?

  • @idiotAREstupid Yes i do, but why would you even consider connecting headphones to an amp. When it goes just fine direckly to the mp3 player.

  • @ikkel33 many people want to play music louder than their mp3 player can play

  • @idiotAREstupid Then get speakers fag!

  • @ikkel33 yeah! like you can use a speaker on the street! and speaker have amplifier btw

  • @navaloncho thats pathetic, ipods arent loud. At all. They pale in comparison to even a small (75W) stereo.

  • @sixstringfretter up to 30 mins full volume and then turn it down. I have a 320W stereo that I crank on a daily basis and I still have perfect hearing. There are so many variables that affect hearing loss, bet you didnt know that, did ya?

  • Let's all play Name That Song!

  • Go daddy??

  • press 6 to make him sound like a seal

  • press 8 to make is eyebrows dance XD

  • *oh it cranks!* rofl!

  • What kind of IC Socket did he use??

  • @AJ8494030615 a 8 pin socket for the 8 pin IC of course! What I think you mean is what kind of IC. I would like to know that too. It is probably just a simple dual op-amp circuit. One for each channel.

  • 296 people dont have fresh breath

  • the schematic please?

  • 296 people were born without a brain

  • Sorry for you dumb asses that don't know what is the point of this amp.

  • or alternatively, just use your earphones.

  • he obviously didnt want all those mints i his mouth lol

  • But what's the point since things such as MP3 players, walkmans, CD players or whatever allready have a headphone ouput built in?

  • @CoolDudeClem it makes the sound louder, if I remember correctly

  • Couldn't you just wear your headphones normally

  • @Gary18943 because this is 10x cooler

  • exelent..i just need a small guitar

  • why shuld i do this? is an Useless Machines!!

  • @dsimone98 *should, sorry, i'm not english...
