That last quip he said was interesting. Back in those days, there weren't any "elections" at all. People said they wanted to sign up with "the union", and they'd become members instantly. Then, they'd go and organize the workplace.
Maybe we should go back to that - no elections at all. If workers say "I want a union", they're instantly members, with protections, and then fight it out with management, on their own.

This clip should be called check the facts, this bill will give workers the choice of a card check but if they want a secret ballot they can have it. If anything it takes away employers freedom to intimidate workers. Why do you think they are fighting this so hard? They dont care about your rights so the secret ballot.
