  • Hi Murray, from your entire collection of videos posted on YouTube (1000+) this has to be my all time favorite :O) Taken in 2001, this was around the year I met up with you at Victoria Park, Arbroath. Keep em coming!!

  • Hi Duncan, cool :-)

PS it was around sept 2003 that 'PE' closed down and you started re-training a couple of months earlier with tandem Dual Control @ Vic Park :-).

  • It may be a good few years until we get snow like that there again.

  • Wow, just wow!

  • awesome! When was this?

I'm planning a skiing tour of scotland for next march, not sure how likely it is that glenshee will be open around 20th-25th. If there is snow we will definitely be there!

  • Hi George, as Ally commented I think this clip was filmed in 2001, I believe it was good 08/09 winter but due to work/transport issues I was not able to get up to Glenshee for more ski/board/flying :-(

  • thanks,

what I meant was what date or month was this filmed in.

I know glenshee doesnt hold snow as well as cairngorm or nevis range

  • Hi George I have a feeling it was late Jan or Feb...

  • Excellent vid. This is what paragliding is all about.

It just makes paragliding look fantastic.

    What a site.

  • Lets hope that this weeks snow replaces most of the cover lost over the last few weeks!

  • also what song is that? it is a good song. think we're off to glencoe on friday. if not it will be glenshee friday and saturday!

  • Can't remember the song.. snow was good on Friday and more falling late afternoon.. This Fri/Sat are both looking good for ski/paragliding :-)

  • The song is "Into the West" by Pilot Speed

  • thats is brilliant. looks like it could be 2001. we went to glenshee for 8 weeks in a row that year. perfect conditions. went today but glas maol hasnt been pisted yet. wish i could do that one day!

  • Hi Ally Weir, I was out with a new PG student up from Wales today (Sunday) otherwise I would have been at Glenshee, mind you there was a high risk of it being 'blown out' for paragliding.... aiming to get quite a few days over the next (LOTs of snow please Mr Met Man) couple of months, say Hi if you see me!

  • music doesnt do any justice

  • I generaly ski "Twin Tips" as when teaching (skiing) I spend a lot of time skiing backwards assisting students, also if filming/taking photos of skiers. The short skis are handy as I take off and land on foot, skis slung over my back, tandem flying two sets of short skis are the only practical method in Scotland!

  • Looks cool, what kind of ski is it your using?they are very short...
