Hey I need some help. I have FL studio 10 and its slightly different from the version your using. When I try to sample a song and I play the sample and after a few second of the cut sample playing and repeats from the beginning and plays along with it and I cant figure out why its doing that its getting annoying and I dont know how to stop it any suggestions?

i have a problem with a sample i edited. its a long one and its chopped with Stutter. i had it perfect but must have did something to the timing because now its about 0.050 sec off, which is a really big deal considering how close i made the cuts. i was unaware of this when i saved it, and cant undo the mistake. what editing feature can i use to get to back to the way it should be?
@anonymousQ45 HI. Unfortunately since you've saved it, you wont be able to revert back to the original. What you can do though is use your creativity and add the last few seconds to the end of the sample so it still sounds good. One way to do this is to actual use parts of the sample and add that to the end of the sample that you need. You may also need to add a subtle effect to it so it still sounds good. This has worked for me in the past when I cut a sample off too short.

I got the looped sample ready, sounded good. then when i drag it on and click the first button to set it, it will start the loop over again after a second, indefintely adding the loop to the playback. so they combine and sound awful obviously. im sure theres a simple explanation for this?

I'm havin a problem with my EDISON audio input signal.
I've noticed before that the signal moves when sounds play from any media in my pc but now i have to play an audio in FL studio before the Edison can pick up the sound.
I recorded a voice(audio that i played in winamp) earlier and saved it as .wav but there was i bit of noise. then i tried to record again but the signal doesn't move anymore or can't pick up the sound.
I liked how the ending sounded in my headphones with the sample playing. For some reason, sounded really good and I couldn't help but notice. Good work.

@ceaserdadondada Hi if your computer is not using an ASIO soundcard then yes you'd want to utilize ASIO4ALL which is included in FL Studio since version 7. Your turntable may also have its own ASIO drivers that you'd be able to select in the Mixer IN list but you'd have to refer to your manual or software CD to see if it comes with ASIO drivers.
@SampleSimple yes i see but unfortunately i rearranged my dll files in the fl studio folders due to bad directions by another user so its pretty hard to sample. should i just maybe download fl studio on another computer and hook my turntables up to it?

@iluvfReSH yes i guess :D when your sample is ready just press F5 on the keyboard and put it on track 1 for example.It should work when u change from pat (pattern) to song and press play.I work now with ableton live though its much better for sampling music and creating

@shakeycamerafilms I have the same problem. But for me it works if FL Studio is the FIRST application that is opened after startup :))) if I open it first, I get sound, if I open Mozilla Firefox first, I dont get sound with FL Studio when I use ASIO ;)
Quick Question: I have figured out how to save any loop that I have recorded in Edison to folders I have however, how do you save what ever you recorded to make it longer?

So all you did was loop like a 3 second sample? Seriously? And you call that producing? People, don't even pay attention to this video... If you want to be taken seriously as a producer, don't just loop small samples and call it a beat.. That's not what real producers do.

@MsPmonkey You'll need to hook up the turntable to your soundcard which will need to be ASIO compatible. Then you can select it in your Audio Settings within FL Studio then record from there.

Hey, i have my mixer up and for pattern 1 i record a sample, for pattern 2 i want to record the beats over the sample. But whenever i try recording the beats, the sample stops playing. Kinda hard to lay down beats without the sample playing. Anyone know how to allow the sample to continue playing throughout the whole recording? Thanks!

@D1rtyWhite I don't know which emulator (if any) lets you directly rip sounds. You can use a DAW (like Audacity) and record the output of the game that way. I don't think audacity exports to mp3, so you would probably have to find another program to convert the files for you.
I imported a recording of a xylophone played on the note A8. Obviously, when it try to play it in the piano roll, it thinks it's middle C so it makes it really high. Is there any way to define the pitch of the sample?

@bxfabolous You may need to re-select your soundcard in the Audio settings. This is a known issue with ASIO4ALL being used with FL Studio. I would also recommend using a dedicated external soundcard with ASIO support.

Been using Fl Studio for 3 year (counting this new one) I have a Compaq F755 Notebook, always i tryed to use ASIO4ALL Drivers, all shit just goes slooooow, but on other computers work great...
You can record the WAVE OUT of your soundcard into FL Studio from the Windows Volume Control Recording Mode. Or you can import your CD using software into an MP3 then drag it into Edison.
You don't do it actually on edison. but once you've got it down on your track selector you can do a piano roll on it and do all kinds of stuff. and when you're done with fuckin with it you can click on the track button and right click on the sound sample and open it back up in edison and save it as whatever name you want if you remember that it's the same thing only with your tweaks on it.
Edison has never worked for me, When I drag the sample to the step sequencer FL studio always freezes. It happened since FL studio 7 and still havent been able to fix it with FL studio 9.

You can load samples by double clicking edison then choosing a file. You can also drag the audio file into Edison

Hey, i have my mixer up and for pattern 1 i record a sample, for pattern 2 i want to record the beats over the sample. But whenever i try recording the beats, the sample stops playing. Kinda hard to lay down beats without the sample playing. Anyone know how to allow the sample to continue playing throughout the whole recording? Thanks!

@D1rtyWhite Get an emulator (such as zSNES) and download some ROMs . You can pull the audio samples like that.

@D1rtyWhite I don't know which emulator (if any) lets you directly rip sounds. You can use a DAW (like Audacity) and record the output of the game that way. I don't think audacity exports to mp3, so you would probably have to find another program to convert the files for you.

Hi.
I imported a recording of a xylophone played on the note A8. Obviously, when it try to play it in the piano roll, it thinks it's middle C so it makes it really high. Is there any way to define the pitch of the sample?

hey sample simple can you help me out my edison was working fine but now when i load an mp3 and cut the piece out that i want from it i try to drag it into my sequencer but it wont let me, it shows a black circle with a line through it ! what should i do?

@bxfabolous You may need to re-select your soundcard in the Audio settings. This is a known issue with ASIO4ALL being used with FL Studio. I would also recommend using a dedicated external soundcard with ASIO support.

You can record the WAVE OUT of your soundcard into FL Studio from the Windows Volume Control Recording Mode. Or you can import your CD using software into an MP3 then drag it into Edison.

You don't do it actually on edison. but once you've got it down on your track selector you can do a piano roll on it and do all kinds of stuff. and when you're done with fuckin with it you can click on the track button and right click on the sound sample and open it back up in edison and save it as whatever name you want if you remember that it's the same thing only with your tweaks on it.

Edison has never worked for me, When I drag the sample to the step sequencer FL studio always freezes. It happened since FL studio 7 and still havent been able to fix it with FL studio 9.
