1978, original version shot with a 16mm arri. Original screenplay, but as a filmmaker I am eternally grateful that over 44,000 people have viewed it. It has been copied in four languages and several updated versions.
The boy was sacrificed so the people on the train could get from this side
(earth) to the other side (eternal life) Read John 3:11 in the bible. The people are relaxed on purpose because that is how it really is in my world, they don't know or don't care that a sacrifice was made so they could live.....GREAT QUESTION ......You paid attention.
@captskippers Dear friend, this story is originally happened dates back during British rule in India, and is inspired from it.
The incident originally happened at the Pamban Bridge is situated in Tamil Nadu (Rameshwarm), India. At the entrance of the bridge you can see a picture of a weeping man holding some human body parts close to his chest, which was his only son.
British Government honored him greatly and in memory of this incident they placed the picture at the entrance of the bridge.
what happened to the boy?? why did the passengers in the train didn't notice to feel like crashing or bumping a boy?? they're just like relaxed or something.. :((
No, this isn't like john 3:16. God gave his son, but he's God, so he can create an infinite number of Jesuses, even bring the old one back to life. That's not a sacrifice at all.
@TheLegendaryMoja Right On Dude You Get it. The energy we worship is all from the same source. Different people call it different things. It is only meant to give a FATHERS POV. Good Question, thanks
I would have taken my shoe, chunked it at my son, it would knock him out and he would have stumbled and fallen into the water, then I would save the people. better solution. Even if I missed and my son got ran over anyways at least I knew I did everything I could. Awesome little movie though :D
It IS an inspired version, but the music is not inappropriate for the "Inspirational" target market. If Paradise is a "green & golden world," the 1st part of the film conveys that. Great story, Skipper!
