It is a horrible disease, and everyone in the world needs to know about it. I am so sorry about your voice. One of my most annoying symptoms is a persistent high pitched ringing in my right ear. It is maddening. But I will get through, and you and your family will get through. All good thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

I have had this incredible ringing in my right ear since 3 years ago when I had neuropathic-Lyme which was treated very lousy (105 fever, massive pain and meningitis, the works). Nobody understands the hell of having a high volume screaming sound in your ear louder than anything else around you. They say "tinnitus", but it's NOT! Drs have NO idea and think im a whimp.
