I made it with the Tangerine and Orange Kool-Aid and the orange flavors are very overwhelming, so now I just have a giant vat of Tang lol. I next batch I make I will lay off a bit on the orange juice and Kool-Aid. I guess the Flavor-Aid is better?

@madhatteresque I recommend to anyone using Kool-Aid to use the Orange VERY sparingly! I also cut down on the orange juice (1/4 cup) because of the after taste. I made a new batch and its very very close to Ecto-Cooler IMO , its just missing a little bit of something, more lemonade mix perhaps.

Had to use Mandarin Oranges since I couldn't find Nobel's Juice even though it was listed as being carried by the supermarket I usually go to. It's VERY close to the ol' Ecto. I hope I'll be able to find Tangerine juice to make it as close as it can be.

I love how everyone is talking about Diabetes from this..... McDonald's sweet tea uses a 5lb bag of sugar for 5 gallons of tea. This has 1/2 cup less sugar per gallon. You would have to drink a gallon of this, or more, every day to get Diabetes from it.

@ConJa21 I never understood that myself-- even when I WAS 8 years old, and all my friends were drinking Ecto-Cooler. Always looked and tasted gross to me. Still, I think it's important to note that the GB:CD aren't saying "You should try this awesome healthy new drink we invented!" They're saying "Hey, remember this?" It's nostalgia, not cookery.

I don't know what it tastes like, but I do know that the color is off. Ecto-Cooler looks like anti-freeze. In fact, the urban legend was that they had to discontinue the stuff because a little kid died after drinking anti-freeze, thinking it was Ecto-Cooler. Anyway, good work, I can't wait to try this!
