I got my Damon braces today!

i got my braces 3 weeks ago and i could chew gum

and nun of my braces mood from there spot

my appointment to get my braces on is the day before my new class starts..its gonna b filled with people i've never met and it would b really bad if I'm in pain when i'm meeting my new friends. So,would i have problems with my mouth?

@MiniMikiii Umm I don't think you're gonna have problems by just talking to people or anything like that. I think the only problem you may find that it's gonna be very hard to eat food! Like, make sure you eat soft foods. But ya, I don't think it'll be bad...oh and you're gonna feel that all your teeth are loose. Lol but that's normal and it's really not painful :)

@Yazillicious No it didn't hurt when I got them on. I thought it wasn't going to hurt, but the NEXT DAY, I was in sooooo much pain! I could barely eat anything. And then the braces start cutting the inside of your cheeks and stuff...but you get used to it and after a little while, you'll forget that you even have them on lol. Make sure you get Damons!!! :D

@ecwells98 Umm well when I went in, they gave me the choice of clear or metal...so of course I wanted the clear! :)

i got mine today. top are clear bottom are metal lol. my teeth are really sore and i have an urge to grind my teeth

@mackenzierox100 Aww, ya your teeth will be sore for a lil while but it'll go away. Hopefully you have some wax cause when I first got my braces, they kept cutting into my cheek and caused pain! So USE the wax! :)

dude! u dnt have to follo those directions! u kan hav gum and stuff i've had them for a year and a half and hav ben chewing gum... and eating hard candy, and penuts.... seriously! it duznt rly matter! as long as ur careful!

i've had my damon braces (all metal) since june 09, my teeth are moving pretty fast. it's definitly worth the investment...goodluck on your braces journey!!!! :)

hmm...i'm thinking of canceling my traditional ones and getting damon braces, and be done much faster and less appointments.

I have all metal damon braces and I wore my rubberbands so much that it will take only 1 year out of 2!!! So happy!!! :) Good luck with your braces and if they give you rubber bands wear them! :)

I had Damon Clear braces put on Jan 8, 2010. Gum is okay, but make sure it's sugarless. :)

Mine are completely clear; I guess it's ceramic.

I'm getting the Damon braces on next week, and i still haven't decided on clear or metal yet, but i was wondering, with the clear ones is the wire clear too? because i've seen some people with clear brackets but then a metal wire, so i was just wondering

I asked if I could get all clear but they suggested to get the bottoms as metal cause they're stronger and they won't break if I bite down on them....but the top ones, the brackets are just clear and the wire is metal but it's pretty light. Actually, a lot of people can barely tell that I have braces on the top!
