  • I will bet my years wages that both of them were glad they slipped on the Tena Pants before launch.....

  • You might wanna start tilting the camera sometime this week! What a pillock!

  • @boltingskyline everybody's a director

  • 00:42 She crossed herself ...

  • i <3 popcorn!

  • Looks like 2 LESBOS having thier first you know what. Afraid of thier own shadow. But willing (WITH FISTS SHAKING) to take on the world. Please they are worthless to the world. In crisis mode they would abondon you and wouldn't know what to do.CLUELESS on surroundings

  • @dishman2005 yes, "clueless on surroundings" - you're so blinded with homophobia, ya didn't even see a shuttle launching

  • Cracker

  • who farted

  • its a firecracker compared to saturn v never forget that

  • choice

  • 0:19 LOL What if that was really an ICBM. Theyd be like... YAY

  • I'd fuck em

  • Green screen. Look closely.

  • haha she was like oh no...... its loud

  • I watched this lauch from Daytona Beach and even at that distance it's impressive. I wish I could have been this close to hear that crackle of the SRBs!

  • rocket=trully 100% afterburner

  • sounds like a bunch of drums :P

  • Eargasm!

  • I can hear the sucking sound in my wallet everytime I watch a launch. $25 per American household per launch. 2,000 space suits at $26,000,000.00 each. A very inefficiant way to go to space, and sometimes even ineffective.

  • @altgeldrarities - Well don't worry about it. Instead of that money going to jobs in the US, we now get to buy tickets and pay the Russians to take us to space. Betcha didn't think of that brainiac, didya?

  • @Nfarce Good idea. Let's outsource NASA, CONGRESS, and OBAMA. Putin would do a better job working for the U.S. anyway. The nice thing about China invading the USA....they won't have to bring anything with them. All their crap is already here. I heard the US Government just outsourced a bridge being built in America by the People's Liberation Army of China. Let's keep borrowing $6 Billion from China to give to Israel each year. That's another great Obama idea.

  • @altgeldrarities China will NEVER invade the US. Want to know why? Well because of trade. One must realize how much China depends on the US for money to run their swearshops.

  • @KnoxSUX I can see your point. After borrowing all of China's savings and sending all of the U.S. jobs to China, there is no longer anything to gain with an invasion. In a sense, the invasion has already taken place and will soon be over when the U.S. Dollar and Wall Street collapses. I guess it's time for American's to learn to speak Chinese and to endure a police state with zero freedoms.

  • *reads youtube comments*... *leaves*

  • It's funny, after all the launches, they still have to use sparks to ignite the rockets.

  • @HunterR909

The sparkers are used to burn-off free hydrogen during engine start, not start the engines. What do you think the Space Shuttle is; a firework? However, I suspect you knew that already.

  • No god here you dumb whore, just man power.

  • 0:44 did she just do the four stations?

God didn't build it baby, many men did

  • @lexichronicle2 I've never heard the term "four stations". Interesting.

  • @lexichronicle2 how is this not the top comment?!!!!

  • Looks like a Nuke with no mushroom

  • I cant believe its still that damn loud, from that distance. Simply amazing.

  • Hi 5 fail

  • Those aboard the Shuttle must have been feeling truly alive!

  • Is that Bonnie Hunt?

  • @aluisious Oh I know I was just joking around, cause part of the reason for the shuttle's being able to lift off so hard is a controlled nuclear explosion. I have never heard an actual nuclear explosion, and I dont think I wanna. Ha ha.

  • u ideot i gotta buy new speakers now!!!

  • @B2ndar u tool..... it warned u, so not really there fault :/

  • how fast is the shuttle traveling?

  • @dannosgirl336 when? it clears the tower at 150 mph.. breaks the sound barrier in 45 seconds.. ~2800mph in 2min.. and 17,500mph in 8 1/2 minutes.

  • @John19182004 useless info... put it in km per hour and it will mean something...

  • @John19182004 awesome info.and you know that top fuel dragsters can out acellerate this.0-100 mph in 1 second,280 mph in 3 seconds and 330 mph in 4.42 seconds and over 6 positive g,s as well.not bad for a piston powered engine.but still the shuttle launch is still the most impressive.

  • @dannosgirl336 About 3600 feet per second...I think it has to get to like 18000 mph to achieve escape velocity...but IDK this for sure, I'm only guessing LoL.

  • @alternatehistories 18000 mph is a hell of a lot faster than 3600 fps.

  • @aluisious Correct...and? The OP asked how fast the shuttle was traveling while seen in the video..I guessed about 3600fps. 18K mph is what I originally guessed the shuttle would need to ultimately reach escape velocity...but I later found out it is 25,000mph. Considering that the shuttle is continually accelerating after liftoff...a speed of 3600fps would have been achieved during the portion of the flight recorded by the video.

  • WHAT IS THE PROBLEM OF THE WOMAN?

    0:30

  • That's what a controlled nuclear explosion sounds like, lot of popcorn man!

  • @mscynergie This doesn't hold a candle to a nuclear explosive.

  • sounds like popcorn

  • @germanSoccerkIng thats what like a zillion pounds of thrust sounds like lol

  • Simply AMAZING!

  • The Sign Of The Cross @ 0:42 !!!

  • Looks like it got a bit too real for the ladies round the 35 second mark.

If anyone has been to an actual launch, the popping sound in the audio-is it caused by the speaker being overwhelmed by the sound wave or is that how it really sounds?

  • @Mattsretiring It's actually the microphone that records the sound that is overwhelmed, so it doesn't matter how good your speakers are. It does sound very much like that though, just without the popping sound.

  • What an awesome sound!!!!

  • the women are like"wats that rippling noise, omg i hop everthing goin to be ok" and puts a cross on her chest ,dont know why

  • Better than Beethoven

  • Music

  • I believe we met at the KSC Press Site before the STS-118 launch. I'd wanted to send you the video I took of it. I got to interview June Scobee-Rodgers, which was a thrill. Anyway, better late than never I guess. I just posted a video of the launch that I captured at the Press Site. I hope you like it.

  • now imagine, that those who remember both, apollos and sts' say that saturn V was even louder

  • wonderful

  • Cool pair of sunglasses on a sunny Florida Day = $50.00.

Nice camcorder to record an event = $400.00.

Reaction to Man's efforts to explore outer space = Priceless!

  • FREACKING FUNNY TO SEE THEM ALL SCARED!!

  • Simple awesome!

  • Fucking nerd machines.

  • "go for main engine start"

    *smoke appears*

  • sounds like someone is cooking POPCORN!

  • Mom, the popcorn is ready.

  • 0:43 --my sentiments exactly!!

  • sounds like a thousand timpani blasts from all of the sky. scared the shit out of those ladies.

  • @ssasoki no you Bigot, this is the sound of Science.

  • my speakers are making popcorn

  • Haha my mom was getting her truck fixed on my birthday in 07', I remember watching this on the tv in the place.

  • Ilove that sound too XD

  • looks fake

  • @SuperBandstand I know what you mean. Obviously, the launch is real and so is the sound, but the ladies look like they're in front of one of those blue or green screens... Interesting video though, and I wish I could watch a launch in person... looks like I'm gonna have to wait a long while.

  • @namkce ermmm why do you say obviously,i think most of the spaceage footage is fake....

  • @aifammafiaaifam I disagree, since I've been present to a launch once before about 20 years ago as a kid. I've also built my own model rockets and launched them, so space travel is definitely possible. Just because it's done at a huge scale, doesn't mean it's impossible. If you really think it's fake, then I would suggest attending one of these things to see for yourself! I only wish I could actually go into space, but I'm neither rich or famous to make it possible.

  • @namkce which launch. did you go to ,bro...

  • LMAOOO Lady was like WTF? Is it supposed to be that loud? *makes cross sign across chest*

  • ...so blöd können wirklich nur Weiber sein! Die haben das Glück den Shuttle Start life zu erleben und den beiden Tussis fällt nichts besseres ein, als blöd in die andere Richtung in die Kamera zu grinsen!!

  • better than sex. i saw two launches and if i knew that the hotties would rob me blind,(3 divorces) i would have bought a trailer and spent my life going to the space center.

  • Thanks for this video. Never got to watch in person, missed 3 launches due to scrubs. I know it's not the same as being there but the sound and your reaction makes it closer to real. Was going to fly to FL if they scrubbed on Friday and went today. Sad to see it end.

  • this scared a sh. out of them...lol...

  • @ChannelingusXIVC they are aligning to go into low earth orbit they need to pitch the vehicle so that they go in a circle rather then going up and coming down

  • I was just outside Titusville, FL for the final launch of STS135 today. It was the first time I've ever seen the shuttle launch in person, and there are just no words for how truly awesome it is. It is a shame there won't be anymore flights.

  • @xmtsystems I was there too, it was amazing.

  • @xmtsystems there will be, but your going to have to move to russia to see them.... US will be flying to space with the russians now.

  • @immortaldyna I know, and it doesn't make a lick of sense.

  • @xmtsystems why not? it does make sense...russians and usa's era/ race towards space begain almost neck and neck...yes us did reach to the moon, but also had their ass handed to them when it came to funding...no more dough to send them anywhere:( its a shame.

  • @xmtsystems I too was there. It was an amazing feeling. My first, but sadly my last. Ill never forget that day.

  • @xmtsystems don't worry, soon there will be bigger and more awesome rockets that will be launched in coming years. can't wait for Ares V rocket launch in 2017.

  • @mobinmahmoudi An unmanned rocket is a little different than a manned shuttle though dude. I'm looking forward to upcoming rocket launches too, but it is unfortunate that we now have to pay the Russians to take us up on future missions rather than being able to go on our own.

  • @xmtsystems

it's true, its a shame, but the shuttles already were very old, lets see what will come after the shuttles, maybe a better version of them?

  • @xmtsystems we went to the same place to watch the launch i think. and i do agree with you, it is a shame that they have to end, i just want to see what they come up with next!

  • @xmtsystems Unlesss you live in Russia, Right now Russia is taking our guys in space

  • @xmtsystems You can Thank Obama! : (

  • @jamie101911 I thank him every day for that, the high gas prices, and crapping on all of our closest allies every chance he gets, while bowing before our enemies.

  • @jamie101911 - Uhm no, the Bush Administration and Democrat led Congress at the time cancelled the shuttle program. Obama had nothing to do with it, unlike the current situation this nation is in economically. In any event, it was an epic failure of our government leaders to not have an immediate replacement plan in place for the shuttle, which was, by all purposes, outdated and a money pit.

  • @jamie101911 It was Bush that cancelled it, nothing to do with Obama!

  • @xmtsystems For now. NASA is coming up with the Orion Spacecraft. We will see more launches. :)

  • It's like a fuel dragster on mega steroids.

  • Great sound . Really brings home the awesome power unleashed by those engines especially considering the distance from the launch.

  • Haha, you never stood at the end of the runway at Hatton Cross when Concord took off 100 feet above your head?

Must say I regret never having seen a shuttle launch, let's hope they get Orion going soon.

  • I just love the reaction of those two babes when 12 sec's after launch comes the sound waves.the girl on the left wonders shall i stay or shall i go..

Wish i was there and gods speed ATLANTIS sts135 and all its crew. 7/8/2011

  • Holy shit, it literally moves you to tears. I wish I could go to the last launch.

  • non ci fossero ste due teste di cazzo in mezzo sarebbe bello.

  • 0:42 did she just prayed?

  • @KennYA51

I think she was so overawed by the experience, that she blessed herself which I found profoudly moving.

She was obviously thinking on those 7 brave human beings onboard and her humanity shone thru

  • @roconnor01 it was sincere, so i guess its a good thing

  • my pilot charley hobo 1:23

  • In a few weeks - July 2011 - it will all be over, people :-(((

    Greatest machines ever built.

  • Massive farting into space!!

  • ahahaha... they got scared...

  • Bra-fucking-vo!

  • Super sound:)

  • Been to 2 shuttle launches - and it is the strangest feeling- the earth is shaking and you can feel the sound waves hitting your chest!!!!!!!!!! You can scream - and not hear yourself!!!!!! The most awesome experiance ever!!!!!!

  • all the tickets are sold out and when i went to buy one there is none left : (

  • @superhornet59 They Already Launched Didnt They ?

  • Does anyone have extra causeway tickets for 135? My girlfriend and I are both university students in Canada, and we are driving all the way down to Florida to watch this last ever launch, but people are scalping these tickets on ebay for thousands of dollars, and we are not made of money :( If anyone has 2 tickets.. I mean.. we'd pay what we could.. maybe $200 per ticket or something.. thats all we really got.. anyone? I feel bad for not having not gone to a previous launch.... :(

  • @superhornet59 we go to the bridge next to the cocoa pier were all the cruise ships are its free. and pretty close. u can see the launch pad and assembly building. pluss alot of press go there. and we actually was in a interview once. its awsome and i got tickets to go watch sts135 from ksc.

  • @wessendorf15 We actually ended up getting causeway tickets!! In a lucky turn of events, one of the tour companies got a very small batch of extra tickets and I just happened to check availability at that time (there was no notification of the extra batch, so no people-rush) and I bought them.. they sold within a few minutes or so I heard. How far away is this though? It certainly doesn't look much further than the causeway!

  • @superhornet59 it really isnt. congrats on getting the tickets!. the spot we usually go to is good cause its close and the traffic build up aint that bad. the sherrifs there are pretty good at moving traffic quick.

  • @superhornet59

I got causeway tickets too! Got them through Gator Tours/Grayline. The morning they went on sale their website was overrun alongside Dolphin Tours. I spent about 6 hours refreshing the page until enough people decided to give up and give some people a chance. I'm flying out from California, see ya there!

  • stoner caravan from deep space arrives

  • Amazing.

  • JUST GOT TICKETS TO THE FINAL LAUNCH!!!

  • @Quandar12 If it was anything like my experience then it was a huge pain in the ass but now I'm excited as hell! As I'm sure you are. :) Enjoy it, it's the last one anyone will ever see.

  • WOW.. That is a America Man-Made motherfucker!

  • @snowfreakboard21 and a very German idea that led to space race.

  • why they dont use just a custom airplane right on to the space??? i mean too much fuel on this matter, is old technology, with one of those supersonic jets in the army, with the proper preparation to handle the space, could be more cheap and fast!

  • 2 lovely girls caught by surprise

  • 1:04

    Doppler Effect to the extreme!

  • lol, the sound totally surprised them. They looked shocked and scared.

  • 0:38 HEy look at the .... erm Where is she ?? XD

  • 0:20 - Shut ur fucking gap. You'll fit an entire shuttle in it o_O

  • 0:38 the space shuttle is farting

  • I. Love. That. Sound!

  • totally wicked

  • These women were scared, and rightfully so. A wall of sound overtaking you is not something you'll ever forget. I was able to view a launch from the Visitors Center and my reaction was almost the same (and I'm a 6' 190lb. man). It's too bad every American can't experience an even like this at least once in their lifetime. AWESOME!

  • @gareball

And after next month, NOBODY will be able to experience it because the space shuttle program (and its successor) are cancelled!

  • @plusplusplusplusp Incorrect, there are privately owned companies that are continuing space flight. This is a step forward, this is one step closer to the general public being able to go into space.

  • @OneSkiWonder

Won't be the same as watching a shuttle launch, though.

  • i bet thats a fun ride

  • Can't believe those two women. Like. Is it supposed to do that?

  • nice t-shirt!!! awesome under arms :)

  • Stupid cunts are fucking scared lol. To loud?? Slut

  • @AudiA5JL wat

  • @AudiA5JL There should really be an age limit on Youtube.

  • That noise is the sound Chuck Norris was born too!

  • That little step back probably saved her life... LOL

  • HOLY SANTA CLAUS SHIT!

  • the best uncontrolled sound ever

  • Comment removed

  • Ah?? is it supposed to make that end of the world sound Lisa? Lisa...well I dont know, Im scared wheres me teddy bear?. Eh, too late its already in the upper atmosphere

  • Comment removed

  • Damn. You could probably hear that in Alabama.

  • propellant tank pressurization completed, voltage steady....

  • At 0:37 you can see she's just getting to grips with the speed of sound.

  • lol, I love how when the sound reaches the two hamming for the camera the looks on thier faces change and they start to look worried. That thing must be loud as hell.

  • If you have seen a shuttle launch in person you know its not like an airshow!!!!! You feel the shuttle's epic struggle to escape Earth's atmosphere........

  • That was so loud i almost died

  • Just like at an airshow once, where an F-18 flew towards the crowd, and then went straight up above the crowd. Indelible memory, even though I'm not a war minded person. The space shuttle program was a non-war program (maybe some spy satellites). Being there to experience a shuttle lift off must be an out-of-this-world experience. This video is the best I've ever come accross to convey the sound. Thanks to whoever posted it!

  • i loved this video from the first time i saw it. having seen a shuttle launch and knowing first hand how loud they are, i still get a kick out of it when they both really get the full blast of how loud and chest kicking a launch really is. and the video isn't bad quality either

  • It is utterly disgraceful that the space shuttle is being retired!

  • fucking hillbillys

  • @Beatnick79 everyone has some hillbilly in um

  • chuck Norris Can go More Higher Than That!!

  • @phml123 chuck norris can suck a dick with you

  • @Cerdov Jesus christ, finally someone besides me that's tired of seeing the damn chuck norris jokes....fucking A it makes me want the "Rick Roll'd" jokes to come back...

  • the chick in the white shirt should invest in a bra
