i dont get it. I understand this band is considered (perhaps properly) to be hugely important, but I just dont see how one can even compare these guys to the Clash, SPs, Ramones, etc. But to each his own.

they were what 'punk' was first about. other bands like the clash and sexpistols kinda sold out in a way by going against what they originally stood for. where as crass stayed as they were until they split, anything now called crass is just Steve making money with a back up band.

another great band is subhumans , also like crass made/make very little money, still have 5 quid shows and sell thier records at about £7

I know this is CRASS as it is one of only a few videos there is of the group.

I always enjoyed their gigs, ahhhh what great times!

I'm still an anarchist indeed pishka, couldn't stand squatting any longer, it was just the cold, I'm to old for that now.

I wavered from anarchism for a few years and studied philosophy, religion and psychology which is the sort of thing that interests me, but just ended up back to an anarchist and atheist, I suppose to me thinking for yourself

and always questioning is so important.

crass were the real thing-helped the sqatters,done a benefit for my old 'fanzine'and they all wrote to me in jail.

the gigs were some of the maddest i ever been to-we fought with cops/nazi skins/swp skins-but it was really a big family.

used to ignorant for beers down essex road.
