Acually a friend gave me this mouse free (to see for myself). I was so suprised I kept asking "well what the hell is wrong with it??." Soon as I got home I synced it up. It was shit. It's just to hard to get used to. The only thing good about it is the futuristic look. Oh well. I like my ALIENWARE mouse better. =)

Bought it yesterday, return it today, yes I hate the taping part too plus it should come with at least a pouch for the mouse. Feel not comfortable when using for a long time which can lead to wrist injury, Lack of buttons such as back/forward when browsing. I'm sticking with my Logitech VX Nano.

I tried the Magic Mouse in the Apple store. didn't like it. I have quite large hands, and I like a larger rounded mouse which I can rest my palm on. So staying with my trusty ergonomic Microsoft mouse.

just realised there is no dongle, every wireless mouse I have purchased has a usb dongle in the box.

it is bluetooth... if you have a mac, then you have bluetooth. If you have another machine, then you may or may not have bluetooth. In that case, you need to purchase a bluetooth dongle.

i have magic mouse, got it yesterday and i am quite sure that it's not a metal under shell, it's plastic that looks like aluminum. just tap on it and you can tell it's plastic.

sorry for the double post, but yes ars technica says, "Though the mouse has an aluminum base, the total aluminum content weighs just 10 grams." so you're right. I guess it's such low aluminum mass that it feels more like plastic to me.

really im sure there must be loads, but maybe mine is the only one thats not part of the imac there are loads of unboxings of the magic mouse which is part of the imac, so the packagining is different, with the imac u dont get this plastic casing, as i have.

That can be solved easily, just take a piece of tape stick to the part where the blue was left and rip it off. do it multiple times and the glue is gone.

yeah that NUS thing is really good, you can use any NUS, im in sixth form and i got 15% off a Unibody Macbook, thats quite a lot when you buy something which cost hundreds

That shiny glossy finish is going to be covereddd in crap. I had a mouse with that finish, and every few days i had to clean it. Not very fun to do lol, and it really doesn't look good when its covered in oil and other stuff from your hands.

no it works with most macs, u just have to install a small software update, i mean i got the first gen aluminium MACBOOK and im using the mouse right now ! i will explain in the review so dont worry

The magic mouse is great and it will get new gestures with future updates. The problem with it is that the tracking is quite poor for a high quality mouse. When your done trying it out, tell me what you think of the tracking.
