I past by there just the other day. I looks like your normal average house... until you look at the tree in the front yard and the one in the back of the yard, they just look creepy I mean you can tell the atmosphere there is weird. I am reading the book and it's heartbreaking and horrifying, yet very interesting. I think it's amazing that Steven has shared his story. Very terrible place and hard to believe that people still live there, they say nothing has happened to them, but evil lurks there

@flappers18 its right by the old mobil gas station in town in union by the railroad tracks. there's a road right the the right of the gas station, go down there and take the first right. the house is the first house there on the corner on the left. I live in st. clair/union and have been past it several times

I love haunted houses but I seem to be a ghost magnet!!!!!! I think they follow me they never stay long around me but I have seen a lot of things in my house and it was only brief then it was gone it was when I went around graveyards and such .

@sweetneesy71 Ghosts don't necessarily follow people. Demons, who aren't bound to a property, can and will follow people wherever they choose.

I think you could be psychic in some way. Spirits and demonic beings are naturally drawn to psychics. It's like drawing a moth to flame. They can't resist. Sometimes, ghosts from far away, sometimes a city or even a whole state, can be drawn to you.

If you love this book then buy the demonologist by ed and lorraine warren. It is horrific.

im readin the book and the people helen,kelly,grandson,charlie,a­nd patty arnt there real names. grandson(branden) i know personally. he is like a bro 2 me. he isnt aloud 2 read the book cuz his parents r afraid that it will bring back 2 nany memories

This is a must have book. I bought this book and read it in less than 48 hrs. I couldn't put it down. if I didn't have to take care of other things, I would of read it all the same day. It's a great book. go buy it..you'll enjoy this one.

I just finished reading his book this morning. Is hard getting thru first 7 chapters. Once you make it that far, you are in for many shocking events that unfold. Is amazing story. I live 30 miles (birds eye view) from Union Mo.(where house is).I haven't looked for the house(yet), but would love to drive by & get a peak!

do you know the address of the house? I want to look it up on Google Earth, if there is even street view. I read an excerpt of the book and it was creepy! Slightly diffeent from the TV episode--they don't mention the black figure moving around in the upstairs windows.

After watching Fear House on the Discover channel I went online to do some research. I then found out that not only does Mr. LaChance have a book out but he also has a radio program online called Haunted Survivors. I plan on buying the book today and look forward to the radio program.

This is an AWESOME BOOK!!!! I just finished reading it. Couldn't put it down for two days. Buy it!
