Ten Years ago I could only get these feelings by being there in person and that cost sure added up. But it was worth every penny and now it is virtually free. John kicks ass on vocals, of any kind, and bluegrass just works exceptionally well with him. It is much appreciated.
I saw him a few days earlier on May 23rd at a festival in north Alabama. The band left the stage in the middle of the set, and a young man came on stage, thanked John and the promoter for letting him do it, and then asked his girfriend to join him on stage. He then proposed, she accepted, and John sang this song to them.
