Got one of these, and you can't beat it for the money. Use it on 'fat tube' setting with my LM250 on which I have the EQ flat, and tweak the sound with the VLE and VPF filters. Sounds amazing live and is cheap enough to have in your gig bag as a back-up. Recommended.
Nice review dude! Is your bass active or passive? I have an active bass and a zoom B2 also. I just want to add the BDI to my pedal chain. Will my set up sound good or what? Im just curious coz my bass is active. thanks dude!
i am thinking of purchasing a bass pedal... i like to have this sound of your... my bass tagime sound too smooth... what is it? is it the pick? the bass? the pedal??
i was really impressed by this pedal, i own an ampeg portabass 800 and genzbenz 410-dt with a schecter stiletto elite 5 with bartolini soapbar p/u and this little pedal really boost the tone. i bought mine from a pawn shop for $15 usd. although i dont play bass in my band,i own all the bass gear. i play the guitar ,but i like to mess around with my bass at home.
just don't put this pedal on the floor and step on it. the cheap on/off button might break.
Nice playing, mate. Now the BDI21 definitely makes your bass sound better. It's like my Behringer GDI21, definitely makes my amp sound much better than it really is. Here in Peru nobody knows about Behringer, and the ones who know are usually Behringer haters. Other gigging musicians really feel surprised when they come up to me to see my pedals and discover a bunch of Behringer products :) Keep rocking!
the zoom b2 is way better than this pedal! i use it at church, on the '10' setting (swr) thru the house pa and it sounds awesome. i was thinking of getting the behringer pedal, but am quite pleased with my Zoom.
@thebrutalpostman the zoom b2 is not a bad pedal (I have one) but the zoom does not offer sounds that the bdi can do. These days I use a sansamp instead of the behringer, and i actually prefer to not use the zoom, i only keep it in my chain in bypass as a tuner. I prefer to use analog pedals, the zoom pedal is digital.
hey man! great bass pedal! i bought one 3 days ago and its awesome! but i always get this buzzing noise whenever i increase the drive and the blend at the same time, its that normal? do you get those problems also? tnx
hey, can anyone help me. i have a bdi21, and bought a generic psu. but when i plug it into the input it doesnt turn on. is anyone else having the same problem??
Yep, I have that problem, and I have the correct behringer psu to go with it, I think its the actual pedal that is the problem. What you can do is, you know the bit inside that you connect your 9v battery to, well you can buy an adaptor so that you can plug the psu into the battery part in the pedal. Heres a link to the adaptor. Its cheap and I plan to do it, and it should work.
hey man, yea it is actually pretty good, i also bought a sansamp bass driver pedal (this behringer pedal is the cheap copy of my sansamp) and I put them together and tested them each, and they both sound very similar, almost exactly the same. Except the sansamp has a much higher output and a more in your face sound. The preamp on the sansamp is also alot more definate ( e.g. if the bass is on full on the sansamp and the behringer, the sansamp will still be more bassy than the behringer).
Thanks for the review, because of guys like you a lot of players get the chance to have a good look at products like this - respect!!!
I was about to buy the Sansamp and blow all of my cash but I came across the Behringer almost by accident. Im quite sure the Sansamp is much better but lets face if the Behringer is even half as good then it is money well spent!
Heya, just have the blend, presence and gain on full, and maybe some more treble, but yea, that should do it. If that doesnt work, maybe the battery is running flat in the pedal (if your running it off a battery). Thanks man
iniisip ko kase kung yung BOD100 or BDI21 yung bibilhin ko. kaya lang defective daw yung DC socket kahit bago pa. and magastos daw sa battery. totoo ba yun?
nice vid, man! aht's your bass model/brand? thanks

What is the difference between the BDI Sansamp and BDI Beheringer ?
tiudobass 4 months ago
@tiudobass Build quality, price, and there is a little bit of a sound difference, but not enough to be able to tell in a band mix.

awesome. yea good idea. i took the pedal in today to the place i bought it from.. hopefully they'l sort it out. thanks for the response

I think that the behringer has a weird DC socket, reverse to all other pedals so if you swap the + and - it should work :)

Sounds very good, I actually think the distortion sounds just about right. Looks like a great alternative to the MUCH more expensive Sansamp!
Im going to buy one right now! Thanks for the review buddy!

Hey buddy, could you tell me how to get the distortion sound using this pedal??...I just got it but cant really get much overdrive out of it at all!
Many thanks!
