This game is just awsome comparing to WoW. I played wow 2 years and can say SWG is much better. You can have your own house, many mounts, vehicles, starships etc.. real professions, a wide universe (bigger than Wow and his 3 little continent) a real community and much more...

Heh I myself played swg Played it in Beta and all the way till CU then left for WoW, I returned to swg a year later sold all my pre-cu rancors/kimogilas/ among others for a boat load of credits and quit again. I was a pre-pub 9 jedi unlocked holo grinding. I played on Bria server and over all enjoyed the game till they killed PvP with all the changes with the CU. I have yet to find a MMORPG that matched pre-cu swg for world pvp. I wont be returning as i heard they are merging servers now.

GOD I so miss SWG!! I remember maxing Entertainer (and Creature Handler, and Tera Kasi) and sitting forEVER in the cantina and people would come in and do whole choreographed routines... We had this GIANT city that someone once called a land-based Death Star- lol! I was a Imperial Rodian TKM at one point... MAN! SWG was the MOST fun. Until it all went to hell.

Actually, I played it before Jump to Lightspeed came out, but cancelled my account before that, even beta'd it.

The fact is that SWG is a dead game. It now has less than 20,000 active players and continues to drop. What other MMORPG has so many problems that people have created servers where they can downgrade back to previous version to play?

Blame the outdated graphics, the choppy gameplay, all the screw ups that SOE made with it...but I blame the day SWG became Soultrain Online.

I recently returned after being away for quite a while and have been enjoying it. Sure, it's not the same game that it was originally meant to be, but it still has more depth and complexity to it than any other MMO outside of EVE.

SWG is still a fantastic sandbox to play in, and as such, it can be quite fun if you allow it to be. :-)

(PROTIP: probably the best servers to play on now are Bloodfin and Bria.)

Playing Vanguard atm - apealing as there's a FFA PVP server and u can steal a percentage of players gold if u kill 'em :)

Just wish I could whip out a sabre or a Blaster, not to mention a pet ATST, deploy some mines and set-up a player shop as well :)
