Nice review love the video in still book like Harry Potter @ the start, synced picture in picture, multiple angles. looking forward to experiencing this bike. Thnx
lol at this idiot... I have a gsx1300bking (non abs) and yes I know my brake threshold.. so you're saying people *shouldn't* get ABS because it' makes them noob? Fuck off cunt.
My 09 CBR 600RR (with abs) is brand new and the braking is a awesome!! Once again fuck off
i got a ninja 250 as my first bike,, just started riding,,, my next bike is def the cbr 600 and am not going more than 600 i think its the perfect size
Don't believe me just take a look at all the race inspired goodies on the new BMW S1000RR . It comes standard with 3 way fuel mapping (Like the GSXR1000 & YZF R/1 ) & ABS . Pay a bit more for all the bells and whistles and you'll get Traction control and a quick shifter .
Trust me your going to see alot more of this Race-Tech stuff on future bikes . The ZX10R already has a version of traction control standard . (It detects tire spin & reduces the Revs to prevent tire spin )
Hey don't mock ABS . Rear wheel lock up is less likely . 70 - 80% of your stopping power comes from your front brake which is more likely to lock in a panic brake situation , or didn't you pay attention to that portion of the MSF course. Add wet pavement loose gravel or a combo of both to the mix & your going down . I don't care if your freakin Valentino Rossi that frontend washes out , your done . As an aside note ABS and Traction control is getting to be the norm in Superbike & Moto-GP.
I would never buy the abs break system especially when its the first year it comes out. I'd hate to find out about the recall to late. I would suggest to just pay attention to the f***ing road!
I think it all comes down to riding experience, there are alot of small asian riders that can hop on any bike and make it look easy, a 600cc bike may be heavy in the corners for some, but its more than managable once you get used to it.
Its awesome and not suitable for the weak/gay. Its fluid handling and amazing ABS sytem give confidence. And its all backed up by a 350 watt alternator.
@julingy no offense but if you dont know the proper mechanics and balancing points of motorcycles you should not operate a motorcycle or any vehicle that you are not familiar with. why place your own life in danger. You should be able to "feel" how much braking is required before the point of locking the discs. On top of that you should not be riding that fast in the first place...abs is for noobs who don;t wanna learn
lol you CANT know the proper mechanics of a motorcycle intil you feel a tire lock up. and anyway you dont know how you will react in an emergency anyway.... CAR. oh right there if you didnt hit your brake your inside the vehicle now. or if you hit it to hard then now your head over heels for the pavement...... abs is not a bad thing
one must keep a cool head and the whole mechanics including the do's and donts are explained in MSF rider course which you take before getting your license. The best thing you can do is anticipate, by looking atleast 12 seconds ahead of ur route, and never trust any retarded cager with the benefit of doubt. I have locked the rear wheel before, and I guess i can say i really saw it coming, but i didn't fall, i just feathered the brake and the clutch until i got control of it.
sigh....if only i had a job there would be one of those sitting in my garage right now, fuck you economy..and fuck myself for not trying hard enough to find a job
white one looks sweet. dont think ill dare buy one tho. im used to offroad bikes and have never driven one of these monsters :P ill probably just kill myself ^^
I wanna get the Black and Green one.. Looks great. Unfortunantely I'm not old enough to get a bike license, and am 3 months away from getting my Learners. Can't wait till I can ride a bike, should be awesome.
the best:X

TypeRCiv 2 years ago 9
@TypeRCiv it depends on your cornering ability, if you tried adding a little throttle in turns you will find the bike feels like it weighs less
