  • resto776 - those aren't henderson's, they are Lawries.

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love the piobaireachd G, love the sound of his pipes in general! Good tune choices too!

  • And that, Ladies and Gentleman, is how to play a Taorluath!

  • Resto 776, The pipe Gordon is playing are not Hendersons, they're 1912 Lawries.

  • Hi there, Great pio, Well done. Does anyone know the name of the piobaireached for me? I Like it!

  • gordon was my teacher for 5 years; he know circular breathes while playing and maintains a very steady pressure. hence why he has won the glenfiddich on the trot now ;)

  • Nobody circular breathes on the bagpipes it would be impossible, that's what the bag is for, some circular breath on the practice chanter.

  • @dorbie You could use circular breathing on just about any wind instrument, including the bagpipe. The point is that it would be useless to do so on a bagpipe, because the bag is already doing that for you. In point of fact, some pipers do learn circular breathing for use on the practice chanter.

  • @Wenbier You could not use circular breathing on the bagpipe, the volume and steady pressure you are required to maintain is unsustainable with circular breathing, hence the bag. If you had read past the first sentence you would see that I am well aware that this is done on the practice chanter.

  • @Shmuggles Didnt teach you much if you think he circular breathes while playing the pipes,Practice Chanter only!!

  • @BIGNUTS89101 Dont get you or me wrong the guy is amazing if you get the chance check out lord todds recital 2006/7 when he wins, playing with Angus MacColl Roddy Mac Leod and Jack Lee.

  • i like his hendersons way better than his naills as far as tone.

  • He ia always immaculate. What an example to all other professional pipers

  • Great piper and, as Andrea Colombini say, a gentleman. Long live Gordon Walker.

  • Hi! Can anyone tell me whats the tune's name on the second part of the video?

  • John Patersons Mare, Belter!!

  • He is the greatest Piper ever. I had the pleasure to organise a tour of his band (RHF - even though he was not the pm, being Gary Pollock...) in Sicily and I remeber him mesmerising thousands of people with his solo piping. A great player, a gentleman and a great Scotsman. ANDREA COLOMBINI
