  • DESCRIPTIVE NOW, GINGER IS DEFINETELY THE KIND TO HAVE IN DOGGIE STLYE!

  • @silicon605 Wow, you seem like rational, not-crazy individual. PS, you might wanna hit "Caps Lock" one more time.

  • Who's the other actress?

  • my absolute favorite fight in any movie i've seen, ever.

"Now what did you do that for? I'm only gonna have to hit you right back." I'm gonna have to borrow that...

  • Ginger Rogers a.k.a Nina Williams from Tekken.

  • I never seen that movie, but now i wish i could see it completely! frustration :-(

  • Could you put the clip on here where Jimmy Stewart gets drunk to embarrass his dad?

  • I was searching for this video and its not easy to find

  • @IndianQueen001 It's a completely underrated film, perhaps because of Stewart/Rogers' politics -- both GOPers. Stevens stopped making comedies after "The More The Merrier" in '43 when he went overseas and shot WWII atrocities in color. No stomach for comedy after that time, though he used Jean Arthur again in SHANE. He did Diary of Anne Frank in '59.

  • @JoanWasQuizzical1

I agree it is underrated. It is so funny.

  • There was only ONE Ginger Rogers, a lady beyond description. She was just precious. I met her at a small dinner party my uncle gave in Dallas right after I graduated from The University of Texas in 1965. I was in complete awe of her because she was every bit as gracious as she appeared on screen. I will never forget that night.

  • @Halo101st you lucky thing meeting her she was my dads heroine

  • @claireypoop101 Very lucky, indeed. She was my uncles friend and had been for 20 years. Ginger would stop by or call whenever she was going to be in Dallas but, unfortunately, I never met her again. She was my heroine, too.

  • @Halo101st really? you are so lucky I was i could of had the pleasure of meeting her

  • @liftit24 Yes, it is true. Ginger Rogers was the role model when they were defining the word, lady. I will never forget that night and being at the same table with her and listening to her talk.

  • @Halo101st

You are so lucky. I would liked to meet her somehow.

  • @lizzyvance I would love to talk to her again now that I am older and not someone in my early 20's who could not think of anything intelligent to say. I remember Ginger being so relaxed and having a great time laughing and talking with everyone. It was a wonderful night that went by very fast.

  • @Halo101st

I am 23 turning 24 very soon. I would have been a kid but it still would have been nice to say yea I meet Ginger Rogers. If she was still alive, I got chance to meet her today I would more in likely be star struck.. She is one of my favorite classic actresses. I like watching Whats My Line is. She is so funny in that. She seems like fun person to hang with that you could talk too easily that has down to earth personality.

  • I've actually had the pleasure of being asked for a piece of someone's mind and saying I couldn't have the last piece.

  • @BetsyBooth22 I think that was clever... and funny.

  • I should've figured...

  • What's the name of this movie?

  • @polyestaplaya Vivacious Lady

  • hahahahah omg go ginger thats soo funny !! :D

  • I have watched this so many times, my own face is starting to tingle.

  • great fight scene go ginger!

  • didn't love ginger much before I saw this. that's obviously changed.

  • "Alright, put 'em up!" Hahaha! She was gorgeous! :)

  • I had never heard of this movie and I'm wondering why not because I just watched it and it was great! I'm glad I discovered it. Jimmy Stewart and Ginger Rogers were great together!

  • I'm waiting for someone to say something along the lines of..."should I really give you a piece of my mind."

Just so I can use Ginger's line of "I couldn't take the last piece."

    That would be amazing.

  • Likely the most hilarious (human adult female) catfight in film history.

  • "now are you going to mind your own business or must i really give you a piece of my mind"

"Oh i couldn't take the last piece" brilliant line!!!

Definitely the best scene in the movie!!!!!

  • She is so cute;)I love her>V<

  • Oh good god what a striking beauty Ginger is.

  • Agree. Love this. Could someone post the movie please?

  • One of the best and funniest movies I've seen Ginger in!

  • damn that was awesome Go Ginger! lol at that flip!

  • and this is how come why ginger rogers is my favouritest person in show biz

  • If the brunette didn't want to be slapped then she should have kept her hands to herself... Some females never change and will never learn no matter what era. Tsk tsk.

  • gonna go watch the rest now!! haha love Ginger :D

  • It's the shhh, shhh, shhh...... SLAP bit that gets me : ) Gotta love Ginger

  • God, why can't actresses have this much gumption anymore? (and yes, i did get "gumption" from "The Holiday" ; awsome movie)

  • kick her butt Ginger! lol

  • Gotta love Ginger. I want to see this movie so bad.

  • I love that laugh!!! So playfully evil.

  • Go Ginger! Love it! She's amazing, always is!

  • I love her reaction to the first slap! Phhh~

  • The two are like the three stooges

  • So this is where Aaron Spelling got his inspiration for "Dynasty"...women in evening gowns slapping the sh!t out of each other. All this needed was a pool for them to fall into and keep b!tch slapping each other...

  • Funny! Never knew she was good at fighting!

    When was this made?

  • @anastaire33

    1938.

  • My goodness, thank you for posting this. I have been wheezing myself into convulsions. As a little girl, I loved GR for twirling like Cinderella at the ball; now I LURVE her for her streetfighting skills. Brilliant!

  • What a great clip, love the laugh, wish they would have let them go at it a while.

  • HAHA! *Slap* "Shh!"

I was looking all over YouTube for this video!

  • lol!!! I wanted to find this movie! lol!

  • LOL I laughed like crazy when I first saw this; I bet Ginger could kick butt in real life lol

  • That clip is hilarious. I love this movie. Vivacious Lady is my favorite Ginger Rogers movie. When she flips her over I am dying on the floor laughing!

  • Hey they cut out the catfight!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA LOVE IT!!! Ginger Rogers WHAT A WOMAN!!!

  • "Peter and I are gonna be married"

    "Ooh. Is that so?"

"Not that I think knowing that would make any difference to you"

    "Well... nooooooo..."

    laughed SOOOO HARD!!

  • BAHAHA love it! nothing beats the classics!

  • >:) cat fight! lol

  • Ginger Rogers is a great performer! I love this scene.

  • i saw this last night on TCM for the first time and couldn't stop laughing! it's now one of my favorites thanks for posting! :)

  • Ginger is so gorgeous, but who's the cute brunette?

  • pity Ginger isn't better known for other than a dream dancer today

  • Or more specifically as "Fred Astaire's pretty, blond sidekick" :( I have to remind people that she was and did much more than that (even in those movies). She truely does (and did) deserve more credit. As a fan, Its great people even know her name but on the other, its annoying that people aren't aware that she had a career outside of "Fred & Ginger".

  • i love ginger! we she flipped that girl, i almost fell off my chair. she's wonderful

  • YEAHYA!!! GO GINGER!

  • Ginger Rogers takes out the trash! lol jk

  • yeah ginger!

thios is THE BEST fight scene EVER.

  • She says "now would you go away"

  • "Alright, put 'em up" LOL loving Ginger right now. Thanks for the clip!

  • What does Ginger say after the woman tells her she dislikes her intensely?

  • "i want you to go away"

  • I really love Ginger's eye make-up in this movie... She's soooo sexy yet very classy, as Ginger always is!

  • OMG! Ain't this the best scene ever?!!! I just saw this movie today! Love this scene!!1 Shhhhhhhhhh!

  • This will be on TCM Friday!!!!!!!!

  • It's called "Vivacious Lady"

It may be my fav "non-fred astaire" Ginger Rogers movie. It's not on DVD yet, but TCM does play it somewhat frequently(at least for their schedule). It's usually on once every 2 or 3 months.

  • This is my absolute favorite film ever. I adore it so! Those who like the movie or want to watch it. It will play December 18, 2009 on TCM (Tuner Classic Movies).

  • Ah, I'd love to see the full film. It looks wonderful! :)

[Jimmy and Ginger?! What an awesome pair! :) ]

  • This is one of my most favorite movies ever. : )

  • rogers is terrific in this movie. wonderful scene, incredibly funny. that dry little laugh she does is hysterical.

  • If you enjoy Ginger's laugh, try Her in CAREFREE where She is razzing Fred Astaire with that same laugh.

  • Ginger is my homegirl...she had fire and was still a lady.

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

    hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Great scene! Isn't Ginger beautiful? I know we are meant to, but I hate the other girl in this clip! Made me want Ginger to knock the bitch out cold!!

  • Ginger was hit so hard by Frances take after take that the rest of the day she could only be film from the other side of her face. Her legs were wrapped and covered so this particular asset would not be bruised. This scene is a hoot. Ginger carrys it off with wit, charm, and a bit of gusto.

  • Wow, they had bitchslapping in 1938? And just think, the then 27-year-old would now be 98.

  • this is one of the funniest fight scenes ever...i love Ginger Rogers!

  • Lol. i already loved ginger, now i love her even more. "Oh i couldnt take the last piece" was hysteical. and the straightening herself up and then the " all right put em up" was too terrific!

  • And this is when I decided that I love Ginger! Haha this is the funniest thing ever! Ginger is great! :)

Oh and the rest of the movie is awesome too! :)

  • há-há-há

  • lol i cant stop watching this or laughing when ginger laughs and when she punches the guy and he is like "ooooo" and falls back haha!

  • LMFAO! I never would expected such a fight in an old movie! Ginger was so pretty. lol

  • LMBO!!!

    Ginger has GREAT comedic timing!

    "Shhh!" *smack*

  • HAHAHAHA.

Happy birthday to my favorite girl!!!!

She was really something, wasn't she? Just LOVELY!

  • Ginger was a lively one, both on film and in real life. Directed by George Stevens, she blossomed in this movie and in "Swing Time" with Fred Astaire. Stevens...who worked an a number of Laurel and Hardy films as cameraman...was the opposite of Hitchcock. He was a very intuitive director...exactly what Ginger needed....and it shows, in her performances in the two films she did with him.

  • Hahaa~! That's funni, nothing better than two beautiful ladies going at it~ =P!

  • "well, nooooo"

    lmao, ginger is great

  • LOL, good one!
