  • Not much comparison there. The Solstice is a great car and the GXP model is one hot little car but the ZR1 Corvette is far and above a superior car.  Now if you're talking price tags then it would obviously be the Solstice GXP with the best "BANG FOR THE BUCK". Let's face it, the average Joe cant afford the new ZR1 but most of us can afford the GXP solstice.

  • this is a turbo 2.0 not 2.4 and GM is the developing the best turbo 4's on the market right now.

    s200 is a great car but a little over priced and with real low torque. this car has 260 pounds of totque the s2000 only like 160

  • GM is going to selling a warrented 290-300HP tune for thier ectech SiDi 2.0 that should be out buy years end or early next. Sound GREAT with a warrenty to boot! Put 300 stock HP in a SS or a Solstice. You have a 100+ in the 1/4 and The Sols are all ready rocking scca allready should be nothing but fun. In stick with steak , keep the rice.

    and plus the gm turbo engine gets about 10 mpg more than the wrx or the evo. soo its more practical.

  • Actually.. yes, GM does develop good engines.. The EcoTech is a great motor. Remember, this is a 2.0L four cylinder, with a twin scroll turbo (very little boost lag), with 20 pounds boost!! AND it can run regular fuel, has direct injection, and is really conservatively set to run only 260Hp.. All this with a 160K km warranty (100K miles), not bad.. and you can get a similar motor in the Cobalt SS and HHR SS.. Buy American, why not.. now they build good stuff, also keeps US economy running..

  • The Solstice GXP is a 2.0L as for the S2000 it only has 153 lb or 162 lb of torque depending on what year it is but the Solstice GXP has 260 lb.

  • oh, right on. I drove a Saturn Sky turbo and it felt deacent. I could tell traction wouldn't be an issue unless you meant for it to be. coo clip
