cheap, then on the other hand yun player shouldn't of been so stubborn and changed tactics and throw the hugo player off guard with a couple of grabs himself
@LAHrebirth Did you really just call a Hugo player cheap? Like seriously? Just playing Hugo is an uphill battle, especially against a character like Yun where the odds are heavily in Yun's favor. There's absolutely nothing "cheap" about him, Hayao's just an exceptional Hugo player.
@ayyyoooo29 I know this is going to sound offensive, but perhaps a countermad at the same time. All chinese characters are cheap, why? Because kung-fu has its advantages over other martial arts. Being as Karate and TKD's techniques originated FROm White Crane Kung Fu. I find this to e unbalanced and stupid becuase you HAVE to time slow-ass moves towards Yun, Yang and Chun-Li.
lol this pisses me off because I suck at timing now :).
Twelve is Dhalsim without the Yoga Flame, thus he rulez.
@houou100 Erm, Yun is strong but not easy or cheap. If you don't know how to parry dive kick spam, you're not on the level to judge the characters to be honest. GJ charges quickly, yes, but its no free damage. If you activate it in the wrong moment, it can even cost you the match.
There is no wrong moment to activate Genei-Jin. Activate Genei-Jin and you are guaranteed to end up in a better position than if you had not. It's free damage without a setup.
@MattitudeSupporter Well, there is no wrong moment in the way that activating genei jin wont get you a disadvantage. but on the other hand side activating genei jin can lead to a too agressive gameplay and that again can lead to mistakes. and you are not guaranteed to end up in a better situation. say you have your opponent cornerd and you activate gj after knockdown. you start attacking him but get (command) thrown when youdont expect it. its a free out of corner card for your opponent.
That's your problem then. If you activate Genei-Jin and you're too aggressive, forget to block, and perform unsafe moves then that's not a fault of Genei-Jin, it's yours. For the most part your opponent will cower in fear of Genei-Jin and you have control for the duration of the move and the time after it ends. Genei-Jin can reap up damage with or without a knockdown, with the opponent in the corner, with you in the corner, with you in the middle of the screen, anywhere.
@MattitudeSupporter And its definitley not free damage without a setup. if your opponent simply blocks or runs away pretty well you wont land asingle hit on him.
I'm not sure, though, but it's probably safe to assume so. If you ever play him and he uses the same color Yun in this video, it's safe to assume it's him. Also, if he's agressive and quite crafty with SAIII, once again safe to assume so.
K.O's probably the most aggressive Yun I've ever seen, especially without much meter. Quite unexpected from Yun, since most of them sit back, build meter, and counter until they have SAIII full and ready to go.
I completely agree. Everyone knows that Yun is still godly on this game but every now and then someone as talented as Hayao comes along and makes people like KO look stoopid.
Usually slow big grapplers are never top tier but you'll always see some players beasting with them because they are mostly high risk-high reward. Big gambles for huge payoffs. Tiers can't really factor that.
Are you kidding? I never said 3s is the same as SF4, that's like saying a diamond is the same as a rat turd. SF4 embodies the absolute worst that fighting games have to offer and it shouldn't be played by anybody who seriously wants a competitive game.
So I'm assuming your dogging all the rest of the player that play sf4. Daigo, Alex V., J.Wong do these people not play competitive enough for you? And you haven't played the worst of the fighting games.
No, they play the only way SF4 can be played: the scrubby way that involves always picking Sagat and always firing projectiles. There is no alternative if you're going to seriously play this game: either play like a scrub or don't play at all. And that's why SF4 is a shit game.
FYI zangeif is S tier along with sagat and sagat players havent even won a tournament that i know of hmm let me think iyo beat RF, J.wong beat Joe. Daigo beat some random sagat forget the name how sure are u that sagat wins all matches?
In SF2 doing that shit was forgivable, because the game was pretty simple. I like SF2HDR as well.
But it's 15 fucking years later and the series should be ADVANCING, not devolving. SF3 was better than SF2, it's only logical that SF4 should be better than SF3. It's not. It ends up leeching off both its predecessors and surpassing NEITHER of them. And I know that Sagat wins all matches because of the high number of Sagats you see online, tournaments don't count for %100 of matches dipshit.
Your talking competitive right? If so why the "F" would i bring up casual online matches it makes no sense if thats true i would say Ryu is also the best and Zangeif ect...And so you know creator are no longer makes games for competitive play. Games like Smash Halo SF Unreal ect...Are made more on simplicity so the younger people can get a grasp of the game. I don't know how old you are, but thats irrelevant times have changed. And I'm just as mad as you are bout this gay sequel bullshit.

Um... okay, could you repeat that, I have no idea what the fuck you just said because your English is so terrible. "And so you know creator are no longer make games for competitive play", what the fuck is that supposed to mean? That doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.
And no, online matches aren't casual because I'm talking about RANKED matches, which count because those are serious matches with consequences for the loser. I'm not talking about Player Matches, I'm talking rankings.
That means a lot of the game creators are no longer making games complicated or tournament style. They're more intended for "FUN" co-op play or easy control fast play type (example--SF4, super smash bros brawls, gears of war, G.T.A, Army of Two, {Oblivion compared to Morrowind} ect...)
Online doesn't even count because no really cares if they lose or win. All they care about is their BP. A majority of them suck at higher levels too.
Um, what you just said completely contradicted yourself. If they care about their BP then of course they care if they win, because if they lose, they lose BP. Are you a troll or are you really this stupid? SF3 was both fun and competitive, and there's no distinction between the two; what's the point in playing a game if it's not fun? Are you saying that the games that ARE played competitively AREN'T fun? Your statements are so convoluted and make little sense...
Um, no i didn't contradict my self you decided to throw your own words and fill in the blank of a sentence. I said a majority of them suck, and in Street Fighter 4 it doesn't show win:losses it only shows BP to the opponent. This why they only care bout how high it is. Hence me saying they suck a higher levels. And ofcourse a game is fun to you or anyone who excellent same goes for me with virtua fighter. A very complicated game that tekken players hate because it's to difficult.
I play Sagat online and got over 12k GP in like 24 hours of gameplay(around 4 nights of play over two weekends) due to consistently winning tournaments, i'd say i won at least 80 G2 tournaments and faced maybe 10 other Sagats total. Not very many people use him because he's not that easy to actually use effectively if you aren't good especially online due to lag causing unreliable AA + links. SF4 offline =/= SF4 offline... different games. Also none of the players he mentioned play Sagat lol.
reason for sf4 being simpler waas because sf3 wasnt very popular for casual fans. they are trying to get people that played sf2 to get sf4 and play it
i have people in my family who are like that, who have only briefly played sf3 and sf4 but mainly played sf2 back in the day.
they say that they don't like how capcom sacrificed precision for fluid animation in SF4, how they should go back to it in the next build of the game. so yeah i guess once you go SF3 you never go back... lol.

That's like saying the only way to play SF3 is by camping with Chun-Li or doing bread-and-butter combos with Yun.(which, obviously, is not true) Except that Chun-Li and Yun in SF3 are MUCH more broken than Sagat is in SF4.
BEST HUGO EVER...... Got damn... prime example of skill wins fighting games.. Yun is no. 1, hugo is like 5th from the bottom.. Excellent display of skill. Genei-Jin is a cop out, he got what he deserved.
But I'm impressed with hayao. The most impressive part is the parrys into throws an Gigas Breakers against anyone, as if he can predict bread and butters and memorized specials timings, that's parrying. And pretty essencial to his play style, and he's awesome at it.
apparently they're using a PC with a video capture card to record the match, and someone moved the mouse or pressed something on the keyboard, so the recording software popped from its hidden state.
it's funny how when kuroda whored 360s with hugo he's lame but when chun def whore and use her ridiculous priority normals until she can easily link with her super that's acceptable.
have you even seen his hugo? I kid you not. he abuses 360 grab so much its pathetic. Now YSB Or Hayao are real Hugo players cause they fully utilize him.
if either of those players were able to utilize the 360 as well as kuroda, i'm pretty sure they wouldn't even bother with the other moves. 3-4 360s is really all you need.
I love watching low tiers own top tiers. I like using both Yun and Hugo too. Ahah, that Hayao guy is just too good. I'm suprised he wasn't uncomfortable in his Sailor Moon costume while playing Kenzo.
First of all, Hayao uses a japanese stick, the kind that has the lollipop handle. Second, those things were born to do full circle motions. The way its done is that the first 360 is done without touching the borders, making it register a lot faster, and then the second one isn't really a full 360, more like a 180 motion instead.
Pfft. Hugo has one of the highest(if not the highest) attack outputs in the game. PLUS he's a tank. PLUS he's got command grabs to help with his wakeup. PLUS when he lands a counterattack due to a parry (Which is made slightly easier to do by Hugo's larger-than-average hitbox), Hugo's retaliations are devastating. Don't make decisions based on glancing the tier list. EVERYONE has different advantages in 3S. It's called DIVERSITY. ]_]
Don't dickride the tier lists, dude. When you consider that Yun can't take a hit that well and that Hugo can pack a pretty powerful punch you have to admit that it is possible for Yun to lose. Besides, basic rule of SFIII. Tier lists can be overruled because if you parry the right thing your opponent's round might just get shot to hell.
Sorry man, but tier lists for some games, this one included are the truth. In the case of games with tiers that are well establish someone would have to be a moron or be having a really bad day to lose to a character with a disparity towards sucking, such as Hugo in this case. Yun is easily the best character in this game while Hugo is way worse than most the cast. The tier lists are ironclad for this game. Losing is possible, but normally unlikely.
Before you go on your Yun bandwagon you do know that there's actually a top tier triad, right? Ken does better against Yun than Chun-Li, and Yun does better against Chun-Li than against Yun, but yet Chun-Li does better against Ken players.
Tier lists are RARELY ironclad, and this game is no exception. It's the person behind the joystick that earns the victories, not the person controlled by the joystick. In other words. Skill > tier.
Dude,I would seriuosly either punch Hayao in the jaw,or breakdown and start crying after seeing him stand there like the fucking AI and 360/720s like its a secret button we dont know about or something.I fully understand hows he doing the 360s like that, but wtf,the 720 like that too?
This is a really late response, but Hayao's GPBs caught KO's pokes from like max range, which is why it seemed like the range of the GPBs seemed further than usual.

I love watching low tiers own top tiers. I like using both Yun and Hugo too. Ahah, that Hayao guy is just too good. I'm suprised he wasn't uncomfortable in his Sailor Moon costume while playing Kenzo.

4 twists of the stick and yun is gone-ers...
cafepk 3 years ago 6
YEAH STICK IT TO THOSE YUN PLAYERS_^) Awesome Red parrying too I might add. Hayao doesn't get enough credit hahaha
Toomnyusernae 3 years ago
First of all, Hayao uses a japanese stick, the kind that has the lollipop handle. Second, those things were born to do full circle motions. The way its done is that the first 360 is done without touching the borders, making it register a lot faster, and then the second one isn't really a full 360, more like a 180 motion instead.
Jester718 3 years ago
so quit bitching and go get a jap stick..maybe your game will go up.

Man the way dude moves Hugo, I'd be getting a lead and runnin' the clock! Screw it!
Was there ever a match between Hayao vs. Daigo?
tunit1000 3 years ago
Anyone that loses to Hugo with any char against Hayao should be HONOURED to play with a guy of this skills.
Did you saw those red parries? did you saw that he almost timed perfectly the gigas motion guessing Yun's divekick?
krizali1 3 years ago
Anyone that loses to Hugo with Yun should be laughed out of whatever arcade they played in.
pizzacat83 3 years ago
anyone that plays against pizzacat83 should quit 3rd strike, cuz ure a disgrace with ure lack of knowledge
samirhossain 3 years ago 3
1) Yun is easily in a league of his own in this game.
2) Hugo sucks big time in this game (though he's not in his own level of suck, like Sean)
3) You don't know me.
pizzacat83 3 years ago
MegaSobi 3 years ago
you are simply ignorant to the level that is so bad that you should just keep your mouth shut
blvk3 3 years ago
Don't dickride the tier lists, dude. When you consider that Yun can't take a hit that well and that Hugo can pack a pretty powerful punch you have to admit that it is possible for Yun to lose. Besides, basic rule of SFIII. Tier lists can be overruled because if you parry the right thing your opponent's round might just get shot to hell.
MegaSobi 3 years ago
Sorry man, but tier lists for some games, this one included are the truth. In the case of games with tiers that are well establish someone would have to be a moron or be having a really bad day to lose to a character with a disparity towards sucking, such as Hugo in this case. Yun is easily the best character in this game while Hugo is way worse than most the cast. The tier lists are ironclad for this game. Losing is possible, but normally unlikely.
pizzacat83 3 years ago
Before you go on your Yun bandwagon you do know that there's actually a top tier triad, right? Ken does better against Yun than Chun-Li, and Yun does better against Chun-Li than against Yun, but yet Chun-Li does better against Ken players.
Tier lists are RARELY ironclad, and this game is no exception. It's the person behind the joystick that earns the victories, not the person controlled by the joystick. In other words. Skill > tier.

Hayao got me playing Hugo as well...on Kaillera.
subjugatedcereal 4 years ago
well, many players chose Yun, so Hayao learned how defeat him!
oussama1980 4 years ago
Hayao is so awesome! Wasn't the 2 first GPB's kara-cancelled, that range seems uncommon to me?
Tryllefod 4 years ago
This is a really late response, but Hayao's GPBs caught KO's pokes from like max range, which is why it seemed like the range of the GPBs seemed further than usual.

I love KO, but that Hugo was very well played! I love the sound Yun makes when he attacks "...TOOOP". haha, awesome game, awesome players.

Loved this match. Hayao taking down one of the top Yun players with Hugo is a thing of beauty.
