  • the master

  • Greatest to EVER do it! He did it with grace and purity! Long Live Marvin Gaye!

  • My singing hero

  • This is perhaps the most electrifying performance I've ever witnessed on a television set.

And the actual Show "Motown 25" had so many many highs.

    Beautiful.

  • Excellence.

  • Over int the UK we'd all seen Jeffrey Daniels do those "MJ" moves months earlier on Top Of The Pops with Shalamar. Michael saw them too and flew Jeffrey over so he could teach them to him for the special. MJ was propped up by so many people. Marvin stood up on his own, the real deal, as evidenced by this memorable and stirring solo performance.

  • emmense

  • That speech he made was brilliant.

  • @wgriffit Lucky you! I'm jealous. I love live concerts.

  • He truly made the music of "forever"...music that no one ever gets tired of hearing. Such a sad loss, but never ever forgotten. "If there's a Rock and Roll Heaven, they've got a Hell of a Band!"

  • Marvin was just simply....THE MAN!

  • Marvin, You're music & your words, are forever. Forever. GBY, my dear friend. Wolfsky9

  • Deep minded individual... R.I.P. Marvin Gaye. We Miss & Love Bruh...

  • damn man get me a tissue pleez?? sumthn in my eyez,, mayne i luv this dude i really need to get the anthology

  • Marvin is the coolest cat ever on this planet. RIP brother

  • @powerblue1 damn right! i love him!

  • ONE LOVE R I P

  • who knew that would be the last time we would see him doing his thing

  • From the Motown 25th Anniversary Special - How much more moving, meaningful and genuine than Michael Jackson's vapid choreographed mime routine to Billy Jean, which gets far too much attention, IMHO.

  • @saturnaspider Yeah, but that moment was simply magical, he did things people had never seen. Although I might say that Marvin Gaye stole the show as it comes to soulfullness heartwarming. But the real star of that night was MJ. IMHO

  • Great song and great words

  • Damn, that man was fine! One of the most beautiful men ever! And he was OLD there and STILL fine!

  • @badkitty1969 was'nt he though??? so damn handsome, and charismatic.

  • Yesterday was you Marvin Gaye!

  • The words he spoke at the beginning were so beautiful and thoughtful. Long live Marvin Gaye!!!

  • we love ya Marvin R.I.P

  • he looks so stoned!! yes sing it marvin!
