@MudkipHitler too dark: that's because it is B&W reversal film (it requires no print, it is not a negative but it's own print). No sound: because when you start in film school, you tell the story purely with pictures. Audio comes later.

@MudkipHitler ... and we used the cheapest telecine possible (film to video transfer), which also made it darker. The original film is not so dark.
