  • Damn, this track gives me so many chills my eyes literally close by themselves!

  • wonder where can get tab for this?

  • a band worthy of a true irishman

  • the font of "Primordial" reminds me of Lord of the Rings, wonder if its the same font

  • @cr0w1

I dont think this is your vid ;D

    Epic song. So very epic.

  • Love this song...

  • Falkenbach, Korpiklaani, Primordial, Eluveitie. Love them.

  • I fucking love Primordial.

  • this is ok....

but not as good as the australian band ''the cruel sea''!

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks

    that's subjective

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks

lol gtfo primordial has nothing to do with the cruel sea

  • @cr0w1

    pfft!...thats precicely my point!

i typed in the cruel sea hoping for the kick-arse aussie band,

    and this popped up instead!

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks

No, wrong way around, I was hoping to hear primordial, and instead you are talking about a completely different band. sir get out of my video - xD ;D

  • @cr0w1

    sure!

  • Sean O Riada album (Reacaireacht an Riadaigh) from the 60s, he called it Cuan Bhéil Innse. Or more popular, Amhrán na Leabhar. There are some amhrán videos here on youtube. Children of lir hm? class! I love this band, i really want a hoodie of theirs or something, hope their webstore gets up and running.

  • Yeah, you're right. "Song of the books", written by Tomás Ruadh O Súilleabháin. I think I've heard that before played on flute.

  • btw great song ^^

  • I have heard that intro riff before....anyone know where it came from?

  • All music in this song is traditional. Maybe you 've heard this played on other instrument like violin.

  • A song by Sean O' Riada? If you know it or can help me name the origional that'd be great. I'd love to cover this also.

  • Well, according to the information from CD's booklet, it's "adapted and altered from the Irish folklore tale of the Children of Lir(...)". I think author must be anonymous, but I don't know that for sure.

  • well being "traditional" generally means its been around long enough that an author is unknown but rather the particular area it came from.

  • eluveitie use that tune as well, in "samon", the intro song of the Slania album :)

  • Yea man, I noticed...thought I heard it from them so cheked it out and hey both intro and outro is this... listen to bran's versian. a folk group from Bulgaria I thnk it was. I dnt like the eluv versians for some peculiar reason. Though I love the band, alot of their stuff are irish songs interpreted.

  • that was just what I did, got the album here ;) what's the name of bran's song?

  • Amhrán na Leabhar get the 99 and 96 albums. :D
