By the way, for people with dual core or i3,4,5 etc processors, you'll need to boot the installer with just one CPU... to do this you input:

-v cpus=1

For some reason I needed to add a bus ratio at the end too.

So for my computer with an i3 processor, I used this...

-v cpus=1 busratio=20

I haven't a clue why I have to do that, I found it out after a Google search and it works.

When you first boot the DVD, it will ask you to select F8 for more options.

Click F8 and get typing :)

After installation and on the boot menu (chameleon), just press F8 and start typing. It will appear on the bottom left of the screen in a faint colour.

First of all a very nice tutorial on I have a 80GB HDD with 3 partitions in it. Do I need to merge the HDD into one partition for installing the OS? if yes then can it be done during the installation or should I do it before the installation?

If you have chosen any modified kernel then updating with fuck up your mac.If you are a AMD/ATI user then OSX86 aint your thing.By that I dont mean you CANT install.As real macs are intel based,intel based osx86 works fine.My point is Intel osx86s mostly dont need an modified kernels therefore you can update your intel macs even through Mac osx software updater.But You dont wht apple have modified.So its better to use combo thos r alredy verified. ty
