If you're ever in the area, it's wprth seeing, but call ahead to make sure the Misselhorn Art Gallery is open! Mostly local art. They have some items related to the the movie for sale, but not many.
I love what this movie does with the cheif. You come to love his character, and you also realize he really is a good guy at heart. In fact, all the police really are good people. Absolute genuis in film history.

This little diner WAS located near Belleville,Il.Between Sparta and East St.Louis.
