I dwell far less with the graver, therefore less tool wear. I use Holtz high carbon steel gravers or old files, all honed on hard arkansas. The graver is a wonderful tool. All at max speed 850rpm, often back gearing down for final polished form profiles. Shines like a mirror.

Could someone give me some brands and types of watchmakers lathes. I have been looking on the net in Europe, but not a lot of luck so far.
