Rugby's okay and all but you shouldn't bash football. Rugby is all wrapping up and dragging down. Football is more laying down hits. I guess you guys can give us crap for wearing a helmet because we're smart enough that we don't want to break out nose every game. Learn to stiff arm and hurdle (like the NFL) instead of falling to the ground and rolling the ball in-between your legs.
i'd like to see how you cope playing the ball back through your legs with a few forwards hanging over you head. if one of the falls it's a pretty sore situation.. and breaking a nose is sore but it's not the end of the world. get over yourself.
It was easy to predict Ireland winning that from the start cause Irish sport you have to be tough and fit but in American sports you have to look though take steroids and where a bunch of pads
The problem with the U.S competing at a global level is a matter of geography getting your best 30 team members together and competing at a top level consistently ie. tri nations or 6 nations. You would have to have the majority of your squad living in Europe or Australia.
USA's version of football is fucking stupid as shit, I played football for 2 years and its not fun at all its so fucking competetive and theres no reason for it to be, All they do is throw a ball down a field and wear pads and act tough
If we Americans didn't have our stupid version of football, and played Rugby? We would be a threat, not necessarily the best, but a heck of a lot better than we are now...
The sport is growing here, just give us some time.
@heyjunjin1 I agree with u 100%. I can see rugby in the U.S going from strength to strength. U guys are relatively new to the game of rugby but u have all the necessary facilities and financial backing and support for the game to prosper in your country, I can see the U.S team doing great things in the future.
@heyjunjin1 Don't call football stupid! There is nothing wrong with having a sport that no one else plays. The Irish have gaelic football and hurling, and the Australians have australian football. I think its cool we have a sport all to ourselves.
well considering america has like 5 sports from amerivan football, basketball etc i think they did alright. well better than the canadiens. thir considering holding the 1015 rugby world cup in america to try and advance the game there
i know that rugby is growing amongst kids in my age group. i read in rugby world magazine that in the past 5 years that rugby is now 10 times larger. now we have more kids playing rugby here than italy or scottland.
well from what ive seen in this video id say ye need a new coach cus most of the eagles just run straight into the irish lads. also when thir running thir too high which just speels disaster. regards to italy and scotland i think your correct though this does not mean much as the population of scotland is small compaired to the usa ( very small) and it is not a very large sport in italy either
wow you know your rugby mate im impressed, the prop is tongan, matekiola matekitonga or something he punched jeremy manning (kiwi born irishman) -.- and yes Clever plays for the Lions but i didn't know more kids played in the us than scotland and italy, though rugby is really quite big in scotland, yes ROG was born in California i think your right with san diego
haha this was Irelands 3rd choice team and we kicked your ass..Ireland has a population of 4 million..america has around 300 million and you cant find 20 good rugby players:P
those canterbury jerseys for usa are tight, better than the kooga ones, idk what to say about those, the red ones were alright but the white ones were crappy
funny to say that Rugby is a healthier sport "Idontknowmylogin". I understand what you mean, but it makes me think of a story I read in the news the other day about an australian player who got a tooth stuck in his forehead and didn't notice it for several months until it started causing severe headaches, lol.
fantastic sport, too bad its not pushed more in the U.S. all of our young athletes are looking to go to the big scholarship sports like American football, basketball and baseball. whaile all are great sports, you notice the countries that push football( soccer) and rugby. those young athletes as a whole are in great cardiovascular shape. where in America we try to blow the young athletes up like bulls. rugby has big guys, but its a "run" based sport. makes i feel for a overall healthier athlete
sorry comment on the wrong vid. any ways munster are the best club team probobly in the world. they won the hinekin cup again. they also beet new zealend well about 30 years ago but reciently about a mounth or 2 ago lost to new zealend, in the last minute they were winning by 3 points i think but nz somehow scored a tri. wish i could ave went, didnt get to see it on tv either cus we were training that night

Whats that? USA got there butts kicked at another sport they cant handle?

@korza97 I am actually surprised we even have a Rugby team......
But the gayest thing about it is that hardly any high schools in the US play Rugby because it is considered 'too rough' = /....

@Travis2u4me not in kentucky lol our school wouldnt take it so all of us made an outside club and signed up on USA Rugby and played lol

yea it is crazy our coach sucks.
it is unfair that canada got the all black as their coach.
who is usa's coach?
or new prop i think he is mexican not sure. but he can throw a good punch.
did you see the game against munster?
dan2hamilton 3 years ago
Tony Flay is the coach of the usa egals i think. canada even with an all black as a couach will never be that good.
also which game agenst munster are you talking about because ive seen many
VIEWTIFULlink92 3 years ago
usa egales vs munster.
how many eagles play professionaly?
is it just mike hercus, paul emerick todd clever, takudzwa ngwenya and alec parker
dan2hamilton 3 years ago
i just found out that ronan o'gara is american.
he was born in san diego
dan2hamilton 3 years ago
What!! you serious. are you sure?
As far as i know Tood Clever does play in the super 14 but as for the others im not sure because i dont watch it. i prefer the hinekin cup over it.
i actully didnt know that Munster (ever) played the usa eagles when was this?
VIEWTIFULlink92 3 years ago
it was a while ago you can look it up on youtube they have a few vids of it.
usa lost to munster tho. but that is ok it. takudzwa had a few good chances to score but he knocked the ball on alot.

keveydaking 2 years ago
Because this isnt international rugby.
Its more like international clubs.
Irelands is "Irelands A"
America is "USA Eagles"
Argentina is "Argentina Jaguares"
etc....

no its just the second teams, ireland a is their for players who are coming up into the first team, same for argentina

CelticCanuck4 3 years ago
I think the former USA captain Mike Hercus played for the Scarlett.
I watched the HK 7'd 2008 and I think Chris Wyde of USA is definitely one to watch if he ever breaks into the the full 15's game.
