I was never a big fan of the way Late Night had "The World's Most Dangerous Band" play along with the musical acts. David (an awesome drummer) just has to stand their with some shakers? Really? And the two solos are from people not even in the band. The song comes across well but there was never a need for 3 of the four Pixies to be relegated to the background like that.

Having heard this song a zillion times, and knowing the Black, I think this is actually pretty killer. And the drummer is Anton Fig, a pretty well known dude in his own right. For the couple of comments that seem like you may not know, the Pixies are the ones that are zoomed in on with Dave at the end. Joey (guitarist) is in back with short sleeve pinkish shirt, drummer in red short sleeve with shakers, bassist on right on stool playing acoustic guitar here. As a new band, they probably felt like they had to give the house band a lot of the spotlight.

CD longboxes are a holdover from vinyl. Record store owners complained about having to buy all new shelving for smaller formats when cassettes became popular. The solution they came up with was to put them in those giant plastic security things so that they would fit in the vinyl bins. When CDs came along, they packaged them in the big boxes for the same reason.
