Actually there were Jewish temples that were not built on Mt. Moriah and for that matter, outside of Jerusalem.

What about the temple at Leontopolis? Elephantine? Shechem, Samaria? Arad? ... and the list actually goes on. The fact that they had a portable temple, the tabernacle demonstrates that there is not only one place that a temple can be. These other temples are further evidence.
