The trailer definitely leaves a lasting impression to a child. I never forgot it, even though I never saw the movie. I remember the trailer where sasquatch is coming up behind a kid that was sitting on the ground I believe.

GOD I WISH THAT SOMEWHERE THEY CAN FIND THE REEL WITH THE THEATRICAL TRAILERS..I REMEMBER A FEW OF THEM..THE INDIAN BOY ONE..THE ONE WHERE INDIANS ARE CHASING IT IN A CANOE..IT WALKING IN THE SNOWSTORM..ALSO A FRIEND OF MINE TOLD ME HE SAW VERSION OF THE MOVIE DURING THE TEDDY ROOSEVELT STORY..WHERE JESSUP WAS SITTING ON A LOG AND THE CREATURE COMES UP BEHIND HIM...WE CAN ALWAYS DREAM!!!!!

I remember this T.V. spot as a child.. years later I saw the movie but did'nt see the

Helicopter part in it.. Is this only for the trailer?

@mst3kpimp I don't remember the commercial but I also saw this movie in the theaters as a kid. Scared the bejesus out me, but I loved the movie ever since. I finally found it on dvd about 4 years ago. One part I remember vividly but isn't in the movie was the young Indian guide telling his story of seeing sasquatch as a kid. He was shooting his bow & arrow in a field and once the arrow landed on the edge of the woods. when he went to pick it up, sasquatch was standing right there. He ran away.

@elcarohw I spoke of that footage in my other response. I have this movie on dvd but that footage was not on it. I don't know if it was omitted or we're thinking of another movie that we can't remember the title. If you know the name, please tell me, cuz that footage I remember vividly. Btw, I got my dvd from retroflicks(dot)com.

@TheReturningShadow cheers my friend and thanks for responding you have the right movie from what i have been finding out that the trailer you have was only used in the promotion of the movie and this was as well as the part of the young Indian boy running away from the big foot was removed from the final version of the movie have not found out the reason why just yet cheers buddy talk to you soon cya and thanks again for sharing

@elcarohw Well what gets me is that I saw this movie in the theaters & I remember the indian boy footage @ the beginning of the movie. I wish I knew why that footage was omitted, because it wasn't only for the trailer. Perhaps that footage from the original, that was transferred to dvd, was too badly damaged & they just cut it out. This was what I remembered: the boy was shooting his bow & arrow in a field & once the arrow landing near a tree, when he tried to p/u the arrow bigfoot was on it.

@TheReturningShadow lol yes this is correct as i to saw it in 1978 in the movie theater as well with my father and i remember the footage that you speak of very well and it was in the theatrical release but i guess your guess is as good as mine as to its where a bout's or when it was cut from the hove video release as i own this on VHS and DVD and it is not in either of them so who know we can only guess cheers buddy talk to you soon cya
