That's shitty on their part b/c they still schedule weak out of conference teams like Charleston Southern, Troy, Western Kentucky, etc. when they could play Miami instead. 8 Miami freshmen scored touchdowns last season. No other school had a touchdown from more than 6 freshmen. Miami had 3 Frosh QB's, one a RS that couldn't even throw the damn ball for a year until spring practice b/c of his car accident. You can say that FSU is young all you want, exactly how young were they at their skill positions and in their depth chart. Coker killed the depth chart at Miami.
FSU won last year and 3 out of the last 4 - that's the truth. Those 3 games FSU won, was by a combined point total of 8. And thats cool cuz I'm going to Tampa that weekend as well and will get back Monday afternoon to watch the game with some friends. In the 90's, Gators were beaten on the big stage by Bama in 1992 in Sec title game and
Steve Spurrier's fun & gun offense was crushed to death by Nebraska.
Since 2001, Florida was crushed by the Canes in 2001 Sugar bowl as the canes were trying to make case for Natl champ. Again during the championship season at Gainsville and then in 2003 or 04 Devin Hester took care of the Gators with his legs in the orange bowl. Th

@umdynasty Miami lost to Florida 28-3 in its opener in 1983. Didn't Miami win the National Title that year? Funny isn't it. In the 90's Florida did win the SEC title in 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 96. So I guess they won some big games as well, lol. Miami has been crushed in alot more games than the Gators trust me. Just research how they did in there last home game in the Orange bowl?? Florida wins the National Championship in 1996 and has the Heisman Trophy, Hello!!!! Florida beat FSU 9 years in a row 68-76, and 6 years in a row 81-86, now the current 6 years in a row. Florida was a 2-3 lose team at its best during the 90s except 95 and 96. I guess the standards at Florida that's championship material, since they never have won a national title undefeated. But at "The U," 2-3 lose season isn't a national title season, in our opinion. Florida competes for the national title in 95--gets blown out. 1996, they win it all. That's it(not even a national title game) until 2006. That's relevance at Florida..until now. New year new decade. New relevance.

The SEC has always been a very tough conference. Florida has been a top college team since 1990. Most wins in college football since 1990. Florida had 7 seasons in the 90's where they won 10 or more games. You are correct Florida had lots of 10-2 seasons, 11-2.....etc... Those are great records. The last time Florida lost 6 games in a season was 1987. Florida has been very good for 20 years. What more could you ask for.

Tell ME Cans fan's, what have you done since being in the ACC. Since 2004. Miami is 37-25 over all , 21-20 in ACC play. Made a Bowl game in 4 out of last 5 years. Your 2-2 in bowl games. Ya, and the same 5-7 crap team that Miami had last year that got blown out by Virginia still went into Choke Campbell and beat Florida State. Even when the 'Canes suck, they still beat FSU. Must be proud to be 2-7 against Miami in the past 9 years, including being beaten twice in the same year (2003). The longer Bowden stays there, the worse FSU will get. As soon as a former 'Cane left (Mark Richt Off. Coordinator), FSU started to go into the shitter - FSU's offense has never been the same.

U mean in Miami Gardens? Gables doesn't have a stadium, b/c if they did, it would be on campus. Anyway, Miami's D looked a whole lot worse than FSU's O - Antone Smith had the best game of his entire life that day, he'll never run like that again in this century. He had his "Timmy Smith Superbowl" moment. Figures though it would be someone from down in South Florida, Pahokee, to play like that. 3-7 in your last 10 games against the Canes. It's about time you won another game. See you next year.

By the way, all those Frosh that balled out for the Canes this year - only going to be better and better as the years progress. 8 different Frosh scored for the Canes this year? All 4 QB's were Frosh or RSFrosh? The two deep depth chart primarily had Frosh or a few Sophs? Miami is rebuilding from the shit bare cupboard that Coker left - FSU is regressing. Nice showing against the Crocs by the way, jesus. I thought you guys would at least put up a better fight than that. 45-15?

Even with all the youth that Miami had, they were 21 point underdogs AT THE PUDDLE, and still held the Crocs to only 26 points .. and they didn't even score another TD until the 4th Quarter. 9-3 going into halftime. You guys got blasted in your own house. You'd think that since you beat Miami more than the score showed, that you'd be able to do a hell of a lot better job against Florida - seeing how Miami held them to less than 10 points going into the 4th. Guess not. See you next year.

If you actually watched the game you would know that until the rain stepped in FSU was blowing Miami away. On a sunny day that game isn't even close. And you wanna talk about QBs? How'd Kyle Wright and Kirby Freeman do for you? And wasn't Robert Marve supposed to be the next Ken Dorsey

hey retard did you play florida when florida was on thier hotstreak. NO. UF beat bot of us and now your comparing us between who had a better shaowin against UF. How about 41-39. Thats how it stacks up. FSU>UM. And Miami keeps saying that they are so young and well during the game they showed a stat that said UM,FSU, and Alabama were the youngest teams in the country. We're just as young as you so don't try it. Bottom Line: UF>FSU>UM. Get over it. See you next year.

Do some research fuckstick - UF stopped playing Miami regularly in 1987 b/c the SEC added an extra conference game. That's shitty on their part b/c they still schedule weak out of conference teams like Charleston Southern, Troy, Western Kentucky, etc. when they could play Miami instead. They dropped Miami, Miami didn't drop them. Miami had won 6 of the last 7 games against UF until last year - and 4 of those wins were in the 2000's. When the hell is the last time FSU beat UF?

8 Miami freshmen scored touchdowns last season. No other school had a touchdown from more than 6 freshmen. Miami had 3 Frosh QB's, one a RS that couldn't even throw the damn ball for a year until spring practice b/c of his car accident. MIami had a fucking moron as a O-Coordinator in Nix that was even worse than Jeff Bowden. You can say that FSU is young all you want, exactly how young were they at their skill positions and in their depth chart. Coker killed the depth chart at Miami.

FSU won last year and 3 out of the last 4 - that's the truth. Those 3 games FSU won, was by a combined point total of 8. That shit is going to stop and stop soon - Nix is gone, Miami has ONE QB finally that isn't a drama queen, and ALL the Frosh on the team have a year under their belt. Miami had won 6 straight against FSU before the last 3 of 4 games. Don't expect now, that type of streak for FSU to put up on Miami. Keep your players eligible legitimately and we'll see you on the field.

You have a new offensive and defensive coordinator. 2 new schemes with a young team. Thats a disaster in the making. Later in the year that might work but expecting a team to have a whole new offense with a QB that has very little experience to walk into Doak and beat FSU is just absurd. I know Miami is young but so is FSU. It will be a good game no doubt. It is one hell of a rivalry but heres what it boils down to.1)New Offense and Defense 2)Young team 3)QB with 3 games 4)In FSU. Doak??? who hasnt won there?? FSU isnt young they just underachieve miami is playing sophmores and freshmen especially at the skills positions. playing in tallahassee is not a big deal anymore remember that 54 game winning streak? who broke that? hmmm close but no cigar maimi will be ready because all those freshmen had to play last year and the sophmores had to play watch out for sean spence and ray ray armstrong. plus we have vets at the RB position.

I know your not makin fun of Doak.. does Miami even have there own stadium. And if you havent noticed Miami has like half the fans FSU has at our games. And we have youth. We had the YOUNGEST O-line in D-1 football, a sophomore QB, several young wideouts and a standout freshman and your gonna say we arent young?? And what QB's have you had recently?? Didnt think so. Also FSU was ranked #9 on ESPN's Prestigue rankings and "The Whoooo" was #10. So we must be doin somethin better than you..

last season ga tech was the youngest in the acc followed by miami and fsu. we are both very young and extremely talented ill give ya that and after last seasons game this one will be a good one too and THE U and FSU are creeping back to the TOP college football wasnt the same with out the U and noles kicking ass CANES WIN ON THE 7TH !! I agree with everything accept that the Canes will win. I will say that will be one hell of a football game and i got butterflies already but I think the Noles pull it off in Doak. Fear The Spear!!!

especially now since both programs have the talent we were lacking the last few seasons, these games mean a helluva lot to us regardless of records, standings ect. but im going to taMPA to watch my cousin in an mma event there at the st pete times forum and come home sunday in time for the monday nighter !! and if ny work schedule stays the same as it is ! i will be off !! and be able to lay back n watch a great game! i got tix for october 3rd endzone 15th row ! vs the sooners !

The games have always meant alot and always will. Just the two names sell themselves. And thats cool cuz I'm going to Tampa that weekend as well and will get back Monday afternoon to watch the game with some friends. And UM-Oklahoma is going to be a rough game for the Canes but I'll be pulling for the U. And I have tickets to go see FSU shut the USF Bulls up on September 26th.

Yea USF shouldn't beat anyone from the Big 3 for a long time. But I hope Miami beats OU. That would be a big win for the conference and of course for the Canes. I think the talent has always been at Miami and Florida State and it looks like both of them are going to start capitalizing on it. If Miami does good in those first 4 games I'll expect some big things.

hell yea, i would love it if miami starts off 4-0 that would be so awesome but it might be a bit of a dream. that is a very tough schedule very tough first 4 games but if we do manage to start 4-0 i think that merits us a number 1 ranking. atleast top 5 fsu,ga tech, va tech, and then oklahoma... if we beat those first 4 we have EARNED a top 5 ranking. ill be there for the oklahoma game. but usf should not get spanked but not beat us or fsu.

Ye but 4-0 won't happen cuz that 1st game hahaha. But even a 3-1 mark would be a great start for the Canes. And considering the teams theyre playing 2-2 isnt half bad either. But after sept. 7 I'll be rooting for the Canes to make it big. We need to come back and give the ACC a good name
