I hardly think Chappelli was overly critical. If you don't ask questions of good players, how do you learn from them? He was just asking a simple question because to the outside observer, Sachin looks good coming out of the crease so it's pretty noticeable when he started doing it all of a sudden.
Chappelli, of all people, knows how to use the conditions at Adelaide. Sachin always looks better when his footwork is orthodox. Sure, he was good enough to play across the line early, but that doesn't make it a good idea...even at Adelaide into a breeze.
