I use one when I do graphite drawings, but for colored pencil, I use a colorless blender. I use the brand called Prismacolors. They are the best colored pencils on the market, in my opinion. Anyway, the colorless blender works like a tortillion, but it looks just like a regular pencil. It allows you to blend the colors so they look smooth and waxy.
