  • yay, i just need something i can practice my kicks on..

  • wow! do you have any tips for me to hold me side kick higher?

  • @milanac1022 practice

  • 2 people were the original test dummies for the side thrust kick...

  • as a fellow martial arts instructor, I am highly impressed with your ability to break it down, explain it thoroughly, and the very well thought out drills/exercises you've included to perfect technique. exemplary representation of the shaolin art - awesome

  • @rydergirl94 Thanks. We appreciate the feedback and complements!

  • quality, im subscribed

  • @xenafan40 Thanks xenafan!

  • @takertitan This is a training video. He's breaking it down to show us how to do it. I'm sure when he's fighting if he used it he would do it in a single motion. Also, he does do it in one step using momentum at the end of the video. :)

  • try doing this from a chinese kickboxing sparring stance just like a muay thai fight stance and u will have lots more power than this and takertitan using one motion is called kinetic linking pal :)

  • guys BS, weapon based MA guy telling me how to strike. Also, he does the kick wrong by breaking it down into 2 parts and not using momentum in 1 motion.

  • good video thanks

  • I do not think this kick is very good as a form of attack. It is extremely easy to move out of the way of and you leave yourself very vulnable. Even if you do connect it will not do much damage unless you gt it perfect or hit throat or above.

  • hey little guy DON'T YOU EVER GET MOUTHY WITH ME PUNK!

    YOU GOT THAT?

  • impressive kick.. wouldnt you want to be careful just throwing them around on the street lol?, I swear that would do more than just create some trauma.. I think it would cave in a solerplex or put somebodies rib through their lungs lol.

  • Im in JJJ and my instructor taught me on a side kick, kick with the outer edge of your foot, not the botton like you said. and on the side thrust kick, kick with the heel of your foot. is he right cause now im a little confused. nice kicks by the way, and you taught me some very good strecthes. thanks man.

  • My dojo has always taught are kicks leading with the front foot, not many do. We do however do one thing I didn't hear mentioned and that's turning your foot into an edge. Just focuses the power more but, dude I really like your stuff!

  • You're actually the first person I've seen on youtube who does that kick correctly!

  • the actual power of that kick comes from the heel!
