@LEPPKE911 No scope ever is. It will always depend on the gun you're using and the placement of your RIS.

@LEPPKE911 you have to zero it because every fire arm or airsoft "gun" is different its really easy. jest put you "rifle" on some sand bags then when you mount it where every your bb hits jest move the the crosshairs to where the bb hit keep doing this to you can get atleast two bbs on the same spot with the cross hairs.

all this information about the holographic and the red dot is False. the reddot And the holo are BOTH projected at infinity allowing for you too look at the sight from any direction not just the holo. the only difference is that a holo has a different redical and they work off of different principles.

The first red dot he showed, is not very good, at least for me. I like the idea and the look but whenever I turn my head still looking down the scope, the dot moves. Shouldn't it stay still? The real one does. Also, if it's supposed to do that, then why bother zeroing it at all? Someone reply please, thanks :)

@unclet95 Your kinda wrong. It is normal for reddot sights to do that. You are thinking about a holo sight, they stay in place. :)

@halolover4life Well, I figured out it's called parallax and high end red dots have it, like the real Aimpoint. Holographic sights don't because the way they are designed. So the real thing doesn't move, the chinese replica does :p

@dentonjm244 your Hop-Up could be low or possibly damaged, but i doubt that. Either adjust the hop-up or if you are using heavy bb's (say .28's) try .25's or even .20's if your desperate.

It will be close, but not pinpoint...

On Military rifles, (not sniperrifles) the scopes are usually preset to 50 or 100m and have a scale inside for how high you have to aim at 200, 400, 600 and 800 meters.

But if you set your scope to a long range above 200m, you actually have to aim LOWER at closer distances...

90% in Airsoft are for LOOKs only...and a Remington M700 or AW L96 replica WITHOUT a scope would look SHIT!

Also you can trail where your shot went and reajust if you miscalculated wind and distance...

The difference between Weaver and Picatinny are that Weaver are have full teeth, and picatinny have a slit in the middle that runs all the way down the rail...

But the measurements are equal.

ummmm.....why would you put a 3-9x40 scope on a aeg with that short of a barrel? If you want a scope for that gun get a red dot sight durrrr. I can see you reasoning if you had something like a M16-A4 DMR or an M14.

A longer barrel does not increase accuracy, only output power / fps ;) just so you know;) a tighter barrel on the other hand will increase the accuracy :D

I hate to be the picky viewer, but the EOTech he picked up, unless it is a legitimate EOTech, isn't a Holographic sight. It's a Red Dot made up to look like a Holosight. one way you can easily tell this is if the reticle is visible from the front of the sight as it is projected out the laser device. The sight functions almost as a holosight does, but it isn't.
