  • What I love about Tourniquet is how they can go from sounding like Slayer, to King Diamond and something completely progressive. I love this band, definitely one of my favorite Christian Metal bands.

  • i first heard of tourniquet in '96 when my band was in the studio. our lead guitarist was a big fan and we spent many a recording session listening to P.O.D. love the opening riff! stayed with me all these years!

  • q musika loca man

  • tourniquet aaaaarrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!

muito bom, lembrei meus 15 anos

    very good!!!

    Deus Abençoe

    God Bless!

  • I like Luke's singing on Vanishing Lessons, but it's hard for me to 100% enjoy Microscopic View, and even Moth and Rust because of the way he sings sometimes. He has a great range, but I like the vocals of Guy on Psycho Surgery. I woudl really like to hear what the song would have sounded like with him in it. I do miss the thrash too. But different musicians different styles. I still love Tourniquet without a doubt. Can't wait for the new album!

  • oh my! Remembering my child hood :D Great band.

  • It's at times like this that I wish Ted used bass triggers. You can barely hear his immense double bass over the blare of the guitar and vocals.

  • I've never been a huge fan of Luke singing, maybe he is better singer than Guy (I don't think so, both have their good and bad points) BUT Gary was the best singing that Tourniquet ever had (and he was the guitarist), Pathogenic with Gary singing was the thing.

  • @julioesputo Gary only yelled. He never "sang".

  • RIGHTO

  • I used to love this band with the original lineup.

This isnt the same at all

  • Well, is difficult after 18 years and with another musicians play the same chords and arrangements... I love tourniquet because they do what they want to do... And do what they belive, not just one more "Mainstrem band" like a lot of other...

  • I'm no expert (just got into Tourniquet like 2 months ago.) But haven't they had this lineup for like 10 years or so? It is extremely difficult to keep the original lineup in a band after 18 years. Usually unless there is a ALOT of money involved. Plus I like the singers better now. If Ted ever left though that would be the end of it. Ted is Tourniquet.

  • Ted is the only original member... And he is the drummer (one of the best's) and the composer of the most of songs. If him give up of Tourniquet ministry, its the end... no doubt os this!! HEHEHE

  • Actually Ted has always played some of the guitars and bass in the recordings.

  • That is right brow... Ted's is the only original member and since that time, he is the principal composer of the Band. And when he compose, he creare the most Riffs in guitars and bass... In the time of the album "where moth and rust detroy", Aaron Guerra (guitarrist) don't stay with the band because he go out to stay more time with he's family... so this album Ted compose and record almost all the songs, with the paticipation more then special of Marty Fridman (ex-Megadeth). GBY brow!!

  • Don't forget that they also had TROUBLE's guitar player Bruce Franklin, that's one of the best albums in my collection HUGE tourniquet FAN! METAL FOR THE THINKING MAN! FRANKENSTEIN MEETS BEETHOVEN

  • @gusbalduco And it's only music,it's God you should be thinking in this band.

  • @QbidMusicandMore Ted and Luke (the singer here) were both in the band for the Pathogenic Ocular Dissonance Tour. And yeah, the current lineup has been together for a long time. They're great. I think their last album "Where Moth and Rust Destroy" is one of their best. They're working on a new album currently. Can't wait to hear it :)

  • @QbidMusicandMore

    now ted is tourniquet

first gary lenaire, guy ritter, victor macias, ted and erik mendez were tourniquet.. that was the tourniquet that was awesome...

then... erik medez left i guess.. and that hadn't really had an inpact.. but later guy ritter left.. the singer..

and so.. tourniquet changed allot.. guy ritter was an unique vocalist he was one of the to''U(r)NIQUE''t parts of tourniquet.. also guy ritter left. later.. and tourniquet wasn't really special after that..anymore

  • @gusbalduco The leads in thrash always coincide in metal music...It's a block of Pathos or people....They don't reconize it....Metal is never a clear thing.

  • @gusbalduco The leads in thrash always coincide in metal music...It's a block of Pathos or people....They don't recognize it....Metal is never a clear thing. Open E bass sounds sick, and then pick 8 A etc...

  • @imposs810 This song reminds me of satan confusing conscience....By using your own weakness. That's metal for ya literally.

  • @imposs810 This song reminds me of satan confusing conscience....By using your own weakness. That's metal for ya literally. And metal particles are used for it.

  • @imposs810 I saw em live and truly thay sound the same..Except Larry sang a bit higher....

  • @TheLuotutin

Larry? Who is Larry? You mean Gary? the old guitarist/vocalist, he was replaced by Aaron.
