The reality is that back then anyone with money bought a mighty Linlcon or Cadillac over that boring shoe box. Then in the '80s as American cars started to loose their artistic and engineering quality they moved to Mercedes-Benz, which were still better cars and for less money. Only now is Rolls truly doing cars worthy of it pretensions; but still, any German will give the same for less.

Top Gear is awesome! I love Clarkson's way of life! XD But... oh well, I felt sad for this magnificent masterpiece Rolls Royce. I mean, it doesn't matter if its rusted, faded, if it has 200k miles or if its 'oldfashioned'. Rolls is Rolls. Timeless.

Absolutely. I've also heard about this before. As for the destroyed cars, they were in very bad condition. Anyways, I just said it because I love Rolls and lol makes me want to cry to see a real masterpiece of engineering sinking in a pool.
